View Full Version : United Minus Ronaldo and Rooney

Today in the United versus Fulham match, Sir Alex decided to rest his two star players, Ronaldo and Rooney in preperation for Tuesday's Champions League match against Lyon. United grabbed a 3-0 win with goals from Hargreaves, Park and an own goal from Simon Davies after a John O'Shea cross. The point is, I believe that this win goes to show the United critics who say that we rely on Ronaldo and Rooney that we dont always need our star players to get points.

I do understand that I shouldn't get excited as it's just Fulham, but It's nice to give the critics some results to have a look at. Hopefully, in matches where we are missing the star players, we will stop losing points.

But I've had my say, what do you think?

yeh good post. there are a few muppets on here who think man united are a 2 man team. this result just confirms that we are not a 2 man team

Good post. Althought rooney and ronaldo are uniteds star players, we don't need them to get points. Yes, they are an asset to the club but just proves we don't need them all the time :)

They're playing Fulham. What about for the big games like Man City then?

Birmingham are actually starting to improve.
Your playing against Fulham, wise up.
Birmingham robbed us, we should have won that game.

Aye thats fair enough, as I thought mentioning Manchester City was just the tiniest bit off topic as we weren't missing Ronaldo or Ronney that day.

9 times out of 10 united will struggle without ronaldo and rooney

it helps with fulham being one the poorest sides in the premier league and looking like a cert for relegation.

A glory hunter is a term used towards people who are, or who are suspect to, supporting a particular football club (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_club) due to its size, quality and/or popularity in the media.[citation needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)] Glory hunters usually live outside the town where a particular team is from, and may, in fact, live in a different country altogether.

and
3) Lmao at you, your just sad. You put my post code in from the snow thread (yes I did block out the last digits so he didn't get the whole thing ) to try and start another glory grabber argument. Your obsessed.

Not particularly. Being a great fan has nothing to do with location. If I had to choose between a supporter from Manchester who doesnt make the effort and a great fan from abroad I'd go for the person abroad.
