Hey all,

We've been looking into the recent events and in light of what has occurred, we at Habbox would like to give you a few safety reminders to prevent your account from being hacked. Note that these may not be the reason for recent breaches in some cases, but these are scams going around currently.

First of all, if you are sent a link by a friend to a site where you are asked to enter your details, we strongly urge that you do not. Furthermore, its a good idea to check the address bar, because sometimes the URL will be a giveaway.

Additionally, if you encounter any site asking you for your MSN or your password, make sure you know how you got there, if you clicked off of the MSN website that's fine, but if you clicked from a website you're not completely sure of, or clicked on it from a link from a friend, we suggest you do not enter your details.

Remember, if a hacker does gain access to your MSN, its very possible that they can gain access to other accounts by sending in password requests to the various accounts you use that email.

Stay safe!
Habbox Management

PS: This is of course, in addition to all the other good safety practices - random answers to secret questions, strong passwords, not hinting at your secret answer or password, scanning your computer regularly, etc. etc.
