i am going to order a 1 True Green Laser Pen 30mW


is it legal or illegal ?? because there was some warning at the bottom of the page about if its illegal for your country please do not buy

What class is it? The allowed class in UK I believe is 2.

There is only one type of laser pointer currently Legal for General public presentation use in the United Kingdom. The requirements are that is that Class II type and that it is less than one Milliwatt in Power and has a momentary switch.

afaik they're not illegal to import.. I once got an 8mw (i think) laser from eBay, it was great, very powerful. I think they're actually illegal, just don't get caught with one.. I don't think there's a heavy punishment, they'll probably just take it off you and maybe fine you a bit.

Nobody realy seems to know if they are illegal but I think it depends on how you use it. for example if you go around shining it in peoples eyes or hitting people with it then chances are the police will come and take it off you.

However if your just going to play with it in the dark then who's going to know?

Well mine is 100mW and cost me about £80. You want to buy one that looks like its been well made and woint break as soon as you start using it. I'm not 100% but that looks like its made from a cheap metal or maybee plastic?
