I want to get rid of McAfee because its driving me crazy, errors all the time!
Anyway it wont let me! I got into the Unistall/Change programme bit, click on the McAfee Programme, click Unistall and it comes up with this:

But i cant check the checkbox to continue. Its so annoying, theres no Unistall option in the folder in the Start Menu either so i cant do that. Help!
Its one provided by AOL but the subsciption is with McAfee if you get me. :p
:S:S:S

Download that and run it (close your mcafee programs and run as admin if on vista) It'll restart your comp and will be removed.

Maybe it can't be uninstalled while you've got it running in the background. Try closing all McAfee programs and try again.

I had this before with norton, I got my comp and it came with a trial, after the trial ended I tried removing it but some components stayed on my PC meaning when i installed a new anti virus nothing would work, took me 3 days on the phone to Microsoft to try and fix it :P I had no internet, certain programs were blocked, was really annoying :(

Go to add/remove programmes and do it there?

Or you could go to program files and delete the whole folder

o Yeh lol. Sorry, forgot to mention you. :P:P Thanks :D
Edit: One other thing, if anyone sees this before its closed. Too save me making another thread, i've searched the forum and it seems Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 is popular but alot have said its quite powerful, so will it be ok to run on a couple of laptops i have?

Still stupid idea.

Actually its not?
Unless you're an idiot and leave files in the directory.. its easy to remove the programme that way.

If you remove the files manually, then it'll remain on the Program and files part, it'll stay in registry.
