Ryanair bomb scare [Archive]

A Captain in Ryanair was 'bollocked' by the deputy chief pilot (Base Captain at a southern UK major London airporthttp://www.pprune.org/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif) for diverting an aircraft due to a bomb threat made in flight last year by a passenger during a flight from Lubeck to Stansted.

The captain was told in no uncertain terms that 'Its impossible to get a bomb on an aircraft in Europe' and what as he doing.:eusa_naug

thats totally stupid, and the time that there really is a bomb on board and they dont divert, everyones going to die

To be fair, the pilot had no other choice, if there was a threat, then he had to act.

RyanAir sucks, what a crap airline. So your telling me if a bomb scare was on an aircraft of any other airline they wouldn't divert. Ryanair is a stupid low cost carrier!

It's Ryanair... Pilots get told off and sometimes demoted for making go arounds or refusing to fly.

They don't care about safety, but I've never had any problems so I'll continue to fly with them.

Supprised he didn't get demoted tbh.
