are you on the 20mbps cable package? If so it's worth your money :P

If you're on the 16mbps package then you're getting more than what you're paying :P

I'm on virgin media 20mb connection.

It sucks, it's always slow and breaks down frequently.
Never go to wireless I tell you! NEVER!!!!

Traffic shaping?

I think when there is traffic in high demand (peak hours) your internet goes slower

Lucky you, we have to wait for our 18 month contract to finish before we are going with V.M 20MB - can you believe it though, 20MB from V.M is cheaper than what we are paying atm for like 2 MB :|

Since we got upgraded, our internet has never been off.

So you all know, traffic management official hours are 4-9pm so your net will go slower then. However if you go over a virgin-set limit outside those times (e.g downloading) you will be traffic shaped again for 5hrs.

I can't get cable.. not in our area apparently.

Apparently I'm on 2MB with Sky but then when I test with speedtest I get speeds between 4-12MB (on a good day). I'm not complaining though :P

We're trying to get out of our BT contract to move to Be* broadband... 24mb 8)

I get 7MB on our 8MB BT line so I reckon we should come close to 24mb

Be* is owned by O2 now. It depends. Your line may not be able to handle more than 10mbps so there would be no point. If you want speeds that are reliable choose cable, the speeds barely go down as much at peak times.

I hate virgin media...
Recently i've usually had to wait at least 3 hours for our internet to reconnect after it disconnects. Whats up with that!??!
