Favourite advert for me at the moment. Hes a dutch centre back though right? 'Cause he comes on for Gallas and he plays with Huntelaar against Portugal.

It aint van persie, because when he takes a free kick at the beginning, he takes it right footed, when van persie is left footed.
It's the best advert ever, in my opinion, even if the narrative makes no sense due to Guy Ritchie's lack of football knowledge ;)
It's a fictional character by the way.

Probably based around RvP anyway

thats a great advert, wonder how they did it tbh.
Fantastic idea though.

It's not, it's entirely fictional.

Well it probably isn't meant to be anyone, but if there was anyone that fits the character in the advert (Dutch, Gooner & striker) then it would be RVP. Doubt it though.

Striker? Hes a centre back. Unless theres no continuity at all, Gallas comes off for him. Also, he finds himself at the back a helluva lot. When Ronaldo scores, when that bloke from Inter Milan scores. I suppose because he scored the one goal and takes free kicks you think hes a striker? Well whatever, it's kinda confusing anyway.

maybe they opted for an attacking formation ;)
I just assumed he was a striker because of his positioning on the pitch against inter and man u.
JACK LOL @ sig
On topic: best advert of 2008 for me, not best nike advert tho, although the camera angles are immense
