...how old are you? You can't legally drive a car with an engine over 2.0l until you're 21.

my mom was going to buy one of those in like 02', but then the 03' Mercedes SL-Class came out and she leased a 2003 SL500 (much nicer than the Porsche!)

...how old are you? You can't legally drive a car with an engine over 2.0l until you're 21.

Thats a really small engine? So if your parents have a normal sedan with say a 3.0L engine a person under 21 has to buy their own smaller car?

I'm 20, but by then im 21!!!
I am going to Uni, late so I don't think my car will be following!!!

Thats not the law, you may find it hard to insure, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the law. Also, you can get alot of power of a 2 litre, more than most American companies get from a V6 :P

What a strange reason, I don't live far from you and Cambridge isn't that icy in winter... Are you sure they're not pulling your leg? "Let's buy him one in 2009, then when he asks again that year we'll say we'll buy him one in 2010 :P"

£40,000,000 for that car :|
Anyway, I'd much rather have a 911 :)
But yeah, nice ;]

How much will the insurance be on that? :P

Yeh, I'll remember because its such a beast.
Haha and the Insurance is hard to find lol.
I have around 8 months so I think I will have enough time.

Cambridge one above, Well, earlier this year I was in Chesteron, in Cambridge and I crossed the main roads and my car slid into this Pub wall... The back wheels had no grip but then no salt trucks came that day.

Luckily for me it wasn't my car lol.

I have a pic somewhere... This is my mates house this winter, the dudes car I totaled by accident.

I will, also to first post on this page again. I get it in march in 2009 so I get used to the car, if i get it within the next few months winter will soon arrive and I wont be use to the car fully, so likely to crash off into a ditch.

So in March 2009 I can get used to it before Winter.

Oh well, if you do actually get it then good on you!

I'm happy with my little Clio. :)

Yeh, I'll try to remember post pictures, but I won't bump this thread in 2009!
But I'm sure I'll be having alot of fun showing off, I am worried about leaving this baby in town. I don't drink alcohol, just coke ect.. so I take the car so I can take my mates there and then bring them back, saving them Taxi or breaking the law.

But leaving that outside the Haymakers. Is it possible to get tracks on a car so you can locate it at anytime?

jesus
28-05-2008, 01:16 PM
Most cars over 30k come with (optional) trackers these days.

efq
28-05-2008, 01:20 PM
I think that will be added. Luckily my neighbour hood is nice and friendly and I am 2 minutes from a Police Station so perhaps the baddies will stay away.

My neighbour hood is going to be less happy when they hear the engine every day.
My Mum and Dad just said, "If we're getting you this car, you have to do the shopping and let us test drive it".

jesus

I can't imagine an ocean blue interior with that exterior, but it looks good :) Hmmm, keeping it outside in the open maybe a problem at night, I can see drunk people jabbing something through the roof... Surely there is somewhere safe to park, like a multi-story?

You can... My brother had a 2.0 Honda Civic Sport when he was 18/19 and he drives a truck now, which has an engine bigger than 2.0, for sure :P You can pretty much drive any car/truck as long as you are insured to, so if you have the money, go for it!
