I've been thinking about getting a scooter for a while now for when I'm 16 in August. I've got £600 in the bank so I think I would be able to afford it. But my mother thinks that I should get one as they are too 'dangerous'. What do you guys think I should do?

Well they are dangerous... Most accidents happen on scooters and motorbikes. It just depends really on if you really need one or just have it because you can. If I were you, I'd save that £600 for a cheap car next year!

You'd get on the road with 600 no probs
cbt 90 - 100 pound
licence - 45 pound
MOT - 20 pound Tax - 15 pound (Try find a bike with these)
And the rest you could buy a ped with... Stay away from cheap jap scooters and speedfights
If i was you, id wait until i get a car.
Scooters are all good and that, but imo theyre just too dangerous for the roads.. Id hate to get one. Just wait a year until your 17 and take your test etc it will be worth it

waste of money, save up for a car so you can drive it when you're 17.
