They just said on EURO 2008 and it's breaking news on the BBC website.

Scolari named as Chelsea manager

Chelsea have named Luiz Felipe Scolari as their new manager in succession to Avram Grant.

Scolari, who is currently in charge of Portugal at Euro 2008, will take over at Stamford Bridge on 1 July.

Portugal. I think. He isn't starting until July 1st so after the EURO.

Unlucky for Phil Scolari is all I can say - judging by last season he will need to win in a major competition, either the EU champs league or the Premiership.
He's taking on the current hottest seat in domestic football, all his moves will be under an intense media eye, and of course, the perfectionist eye of Roman!

Best of luck to him though.

hes a good manager and a well respected figure throughout football.
chelsea have money which probably means they will be able to sign just about anyone they like with him in charge. may also mean key players like ricardo c will stay and they may even go for deco. i think he'll be a success there
