Hey everyone,
In an effort to better the relationship between users and moderators and also reward users who create a positive presence and are helpful to other members or are able to interact without causing problems, we have introduced a new incentive under the User of the Month program.
Basically, the moderators every category from Graphics down will come together and select the best user from their category. This decision will come from a bunch of things, including contribution to the forum, activity, record, interaction with members, etc. By using a bunch of criteria we are hoping to avoid encouraging people to simply spam with threads and not interact with members etc.
We will also be monitoring the submissions to try and eliminate Moderator favoritism. This is obviously on a test run, so we're going to try it out and see how it goes. Really, it doesn't require you to do anything, just go on posting ;) We will see if this system works out!
Additionally, the members with the top three referrals will also win the same prize as each User of the month, one free month of VIP, the color of their choice.
We hope to refine the system as we move on and hopefully this works out! It won't be a huge deal, just announced near the beginning of the month for the winners of the last month, but it will be a nice little program and incentive for members :)
