So anyway I did rowing for like 3 years but quit it because it became too much like a popularity contest and before I did that I did rugby for four years but left that because I hated it and they all found out I was a catholic (I live in Northern Ireland). Anway since leaving rowing I really wanted a new sport so I decided between Badminton or Gymnastics, there are no spaces in the Gymnastic class but there is a club in portadown for Badminton. The problem is its in a Protestant school called Portadown College and I would be afraid it would turn into another situation like Rugby. Should I go for it?

Why does it matter what religion you are? :S

It's Northern Ireland. I'm guessing you don't know about stuff like this Northern Ireland then.

Badminton is the better sport, anyway because it's really easy.

Catholics were severly mistreated during 1968 and they were stripped of their civil rights. Northern Ireland was under british rule and therefore protestants got alot more

My dad almost got shot out their in NI when he got sent out in 90's. Main reason why he quit in 2000 and something... that and he wanted more money.

Badmintons awesome, takes alot of getting used to though. I sucked when i first started but you'll get used to how the shuttlecock flies and stuff.

I'd do it even if its for just a few weeks.

Why not? The southern Irish are OK... used to live in Mallow for around a year and then quickly moved back to Manchester.

you know just because we're catholic dosen't mean were like "UP THE RA" and all that. The only thing I dont like is when protestants blurt their religions in your face with their king billy stuff

Dont choose badminton or gymnastics.
Do a mans sport like soccer, or basbeall or something else that takes skill
(gymnastics is hard its just not a male sport mostly)

Everything takes skill. Are you trying to tell me that bowls doesn't take skill, after all, you only have to aim for a ball.

Badmington, I did it for 2 years, played recently and got beat by my 'Sports Hyper' mate, only 5 sets to 4 and the last set was 11-7. I only quit because I'd used the wrong grip for years and when I went to the Academy, I could'nt get used to it, so I was terrible and I didn't see the point in carrying on if I was just getting beat 11-0 everytime, having no fun at all.
