"There's only one passenger waiting at the bus stop, at the beginning of the bus lane, and he's been waiting for quite a long time on this cold, wet morning.
He can see his bus - in fact, he's been able to see it for a quite a long time. It's crawling slowly along Bawtry Road, approaching the traffic lights at the top of Stoops Lane.
Once the bus gets through the lights, the young man gets up and walks to the edge of the road.
But he's folling himself, and getting wet into the bargain. It's going to take the bus several minutes to travel the short distance from the traffic lights to the beginning of the bus lane. It even takes a frustraitinly long time to edge into bus the lane."
