Yeah, looking for a decent first car.

Preferibly around £1500-£1900, max of 8 years old and not an engine too large!

Am I being too picky!?

Oh, and I want a car that has reasonable insurance prices. :@

Being looking at fiestas, clios etc so far.

Help appreciated, thanks.

I'd reccomend your mum, she's a pretty smooth ride and doesn't cost much either. :P

PEUGEOT 206, GO ON.

After I passed my driving test I bought a Citroen Saxo 1.1, 1 owner, 30k on the clock and cheap, it was nippy, low on insurance, although it had no power steering, but was manageable. It was 8 years old, and it was very reliable.

As a cheap first car I would recommend the same or a Peugeot 106. I've not driven a Vauxhall or a Ford, so can't comment on them, although I know that the Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 has one of the lowest insurance groups.

Then the insurance will be huge on them unless their on their parents policy. Or maybe they have just been cheap and stuck a sport badge onto the back of a normal clio :P

Mk2 is better than mk4+5!

Mk1 owns them all.
