Since Christmas is over and the new year is too close to the new school year to make it celebratable any more, the Christmas & New Year forum has been placed into hibernation for another year. Hopefully this year it might make it's appearance a bit earlier than last year :P

As the articles department has officially folded, the ask the writers forum has been consigned to the depths of the Habboxforum archives. And despite Sammeth's plans to have Ask The Productions Staff sitting in full view for eternity to show off his old department, it too has been removed from public view.

There have been several ammendments to the forum rules as follows:

Under the old rule, there was a loophole that allowed you to post the personal details of people you know outside habbo, for example posting a phone number for prank calls. The wording of rule A5 has thus been changed to:

A5. Do not post private details or information – We do not allow you to post private information about yourself due to security concerns. Disclosing any information about another forum user without their consent is also not allowed. This includes

Private messages
Reputation comments
Private conversations (MSN, Habbo, etc.)
Images / videos of the user or social networking profiles (Bebo, Facebook, etc.)
Trying to organize real life meet-ups

It is not allowed to give out the personal details (specific address, phone number etc) of anyone, forum user or otherwise.

The rule about "Post Your" threads has been clarified and added to the pointless posting rule. Forum members can now create their own threads but moderators still have the right to close them if they turn into spamfests or a boring list there for post count alone. The rule now reads:

A11. Do not post pointlessly - A pointless post has no relevance to the topic, any previous post or is meaningless (ghnrgher etc). A pointless thread either has no meaning, is something posted that is not true (e.g. false story in news and rumours) or a thread that doesn't prompt a discussion (eg. post the colour of socks you're wearing).

A broken link to the support system in rule A13 has been fixed.
