saw the advert on telly, brand new confused.com is easier than ever to use1 i saved this much blah blah blah, I thought.. great! anything's better than paying £2700 for insurance so why not give it a go.

Try to register and it says my email has already been registered, and passwords don't match. Try a different email and usually use my normal password and it says it's too long. Try and shorten it then it says you aren't allowed numbers.. great security there.

Anyway, after getting past the stage of registering I got on to entering details, put my dads info in, great.. all works. put my info in and it doesnt recognise the job title 'management trainee' so had to put myself down as marketing assistant.

then apparently there is an error in that my dad's info isn't valid: 'when did you become a UK resident?' from birth was ticked but it was asking me to enter a date. gragghhh

go onto car details, enter my reg and apparently my 1.9 golf is now a 1.3 micra haha. enter details manually.

fill in everything and that's not valid either. start over.

get to the end and i'm told they can't retrieve my quotes online, and that they will call me back. they ask me to enter a time, I enter it.

'sorry, there has been an error in processing your request. please click 'call me' again'

long story short, the 'easy to use' confused.com is in fact useless.

anyway to put a point to this thread, how much are you paying for insurance?

how much are you paying?
what type of cover?
whos policy are you on?
what is the make, model and engine size of your car?
..and the insurance group (http://www.parkers.co.uk/insurance/)?

I don't understand, your insurance is close to $4000 US/year on a car that is worth like 6-7 thousand pounds? It does not make sense to me! I put my moms new car in for fun and it was an insurance group 20, how much would that be a year?
