Wow - some shocks there.
Congratulations to Foster and Baines who have rightfully earned their place in the squad. I'm pritty shocked at Capello's decision to call up the likes of Heskey and C.Cole but apart from that it looks like a standard team.

When will he stop picking donkey Heskey?
Here's some Heskey stats for you:

PLAYING FOR ENGLAND.
Season apps goals
2003–04 9 0
2007–08 2 0
2008–09 6 0
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emile_Heskey#International

The last time he scored for England was almost 6 years ago! Surely there's someone else, even AJ! I even prefer Defoe over Heskey despite some shocking performances by him in the last few years, but at least Defoe looks like he's trying.

^^^^^^^ Defoe is injured for the rest of the season, and surely you mean Kevin Davies?

King deserves to be in the squad, but there really is no point picking him. He wont be able to play in a world cup where more than one game is played in a week. At the best of times, King can only play once a week with no training and just a warm up before hand.

Heskey, Crouch, Cole, Rooney... lots of goals there lol.

Hesky is not a proven goal scorer for club or country,

But for a target man he is decent.

When he and Owen play togethler there a decent pair for england.

But would have liked to see Kevin Davis or Owen picked ,

Oh aye that one! Apparently they have two Davies at Bolton these days.
Didn't know Defoe was still out either.

Even so, I'd pick to play with ten men rather than play Heskey.

//edit - does that mean my information about 'Davies' being injured is the other one?

Good for Ledley. Such a talented player, shame the injuries have impacted on his career.

grats to foster, deserved it.
What? The kid's played like 3 competitive games all season. Stupid inclusion. Only need 2 keepers anyway. Waste of a choice.

No Luke Young. Why? No James Milner. Why?

so wheres the pace coming from? Heskey, described as a target man. Crouch, described as a target man. Rooney is hardly an sprightly striker.

Lennon, Shaun-Wright-Phillips, G.Johnson, A.Cole..

Crouch, terrible internationally. Rooney is the only striker we have.

He's not too bad - 14 goals in 31 apps and 12 in his first year playing for England, the most goals scored by any England player in their debut international year.
