Just thought i'd get your views on the new England shirt. I personally like it a lot, very simple and it's just really different, looking to buy it soon.

Your thoughts?

EDIT-

I love the long sleeve version-

I also like the "anthem jackets"-

whoever thought that name up is a sad **** :S still nice though.

I also really like it. I know it has been criticised a lot but it's just so simplistic :D

Edited original post.

And yeah, all the previous shirts for the past... three years? have been to over designed and over complicated.

But this is just nice, plain and tidy.

I really like it :O.

There's dark blue/black I think also, but I just saw the price... £99.99?

No thanks, I think I'll just stick to the strip. :)

Never really liked the England home strips. Prefer the away ones.

ps. It's launched April 1st.
Maybe it's a big joke by Umbro.

It's nice as a casual top to wear but im not going to pay £50 for that when i can buy 2 or 3 decent simmilar ones for that price.

It's a disgrace. Why the hell is the star silver? You can hardly see it on the white shirt. And to hide it more it's green (or another colour which doesn't show up on dark green) on the keeper shirt.

We should be proud of that shirt, we should be showing it off and not hiding it.

Disgrace.

Only thing I'm worried about is that their a strong rumours whizzing around Manchester claiming Umbo are going to design our kit for next season. The rumours aren't helped considering Umbro just brought a block of offices in Manchester.

It best not be a set design, I'd hate for City to walk down the tunnel in that next season.

Disgrace.

nah, its a "bespoke" design specially created with inspiration from england's heyday.

Not really big on wearing football shirts casually but I would like this to wear by the pool on holiday etc

but I have opted to take part in a silent protest and refuse to be ripped off by some ****** make.

'The most simplistic design ever'
'The most expensive design ever'

thank you for all your replies, seems like it's a marmite situation, you either love it or you hate it.

I like it, I'd agree that I think 'hiding the star' is unnecessary.

But it's very basic, and for £44.99 you're not gettin' a lot of bang for ya buck!

It's a disgrace. Why the hell is the star silver? You can hardly see it on the white shirt.

They should make it bright pink, so people can remember that England have won a World Cup before. I think everyone's forgotten except England.
