With the ever increasing number of posts on HabboxForum.com it is only a matter of time before our servers begin to buckle under the demand for content from our users. As a result starting from Monday, HabboxForum.com is to go under a massive optimization.
The optimization will occur in two phases, the first phase is due to start on Monday and last for approximately a week. Only after this, if we feel that further work needs to be carried out will we continue with phase two which will be confirmed, if necessary, at a later date.
We will be making nine changes which will be announced at a later date (likely during next week's sunday announcements) and how they may affect forum display, usage, members or features.
As with any server work we will aim to begin work during graveyard hours and have chosen Monday as the starting date as we expect a lot of the students in our community will be returning to school and therefore will not be online late at night.
We do not expect any downtime however there will be times during next week where our forums will be closed or will be incredibly slow as some of these solutions will require intensive CPU usage.
Hopefully nothing will break in the process although I won’t guarantee that as something always goes wrong whenever we do this sort of work.
I will suggest however, that if you cherish your avatar or signature picture* that you make a backup of it just in case.
* Only signature pictures that have been uploaded onto our servers and are being displayed using the [sigpic] BB code.
Apologies in advance for any inconveniences and anything which may go drastically wrong,
