It's not bad after the tax payer takes 40% away.

Players like Gerrard, Lampard, Ashley Cole, Terry and Beckham who all earn 100,000 + a week are not really missing a thing and I'm sure many of them have avoid tax by having offshore accounts (e.g Swiss)

Just the players who are on 5k week are not seeing the difference really.

Maybe they should get taxed more? The 100,000 a week earners?

Nice edit however you've just made your post even more idiotic.
So how will a higher tax change anything?

Skajo
16-04-2009, 11:07 AM
No. Everyone should pay the same percentage of tax.

Silly thread. In theory, tax shouldn't exist.

Well i don't think footballers just have one back account.
I'm sure your going to get the odd one trying to invade.

If they get taxed more, they can put more money in the Public services.

But to live tax free there only allowed in UK something like 90 days a year not including travelling days. Which would mean that these 'tax dodging' players would basically only be able to play on a saturday and not train? Anyway, it is your fault (and everyone elses) that footballers get paid so much, it's entertainment and we are willing to pay £400 a year season tickets or £20 a game etc. So don't moan about footballers getting paid huge wages when we're the ones paying them.

Lol I'm not complaining. Just discussing. I don't think anyone should moan because I'm sure if they was in the same position (Footballer) they wouldn't care if people think they should be taxed more.

People who moan and go to the games should just get over it.

put it this way, while there is a market for it there will always be money in football. besides, i'd rather have it in football than any other sport, wouldn't you?

Right let's face it. You can afford to go to games but choose not to. You don't watch them on the TV or in a pub you find streams online. You probably don't own any merchandise or shirts yet you call yourself a supporter? how so?

Oh and for the record, I'm going to the Everton match on Sunday.

The amount that some footballers get paid is absoultely ludicrous. The rates they sell for is also pretty crazy. It makes football more about money and less about the sport.
