I need ideas for something to make for my gcse in it, it has to be a 3d thing

I was considering making a full size Xbox 360 (from wood), it wouldnt be pretty hard, i could just take one of my xboxs in for measurements and all that

i would prefer it to be based around gaming, but anything else would be sorta ok too

I would prefer the replies to be no later than 7:30 am tommorow, thanks

A better idea of the client, theme, market etc would be a start.

gcse in it, do you mean init? or is there a lesson called in it? lol.

and the xbox sounds pretty good and would be fairly simple to make out of wood, you could also try and make the controller which would probably be harder but hey its up to you.

I picked graphics lol. I like the Xbox idea, I say you go ahead with it. Maybe when you finish, you can take a pic and show us =]

The Xbox idea sounds cool, if you did it right I reckon it would look really good.

Well, my teacher told me to do some point of sale thing, make a scale model of a xbox then make a rotating stand thing, then do some posters

There's no point just making an x box... your product needs to be solving a problem.

That sounds good...

I'd make the insides hollow, so that you could take the guts of an xbox and put them inside. lol

As far as I was aware, Graphic Products does not allow the use of wood for the final project; only paper and cardboard?

Wood is perfectly acceptable :) for example i made my final piece (a housing estate) out of wood but i also had a paper proto-type.

I can only assume the specification changed. All I know is that when I did it, the AQA specification was very clear in the use of materials, and wood was reserved for Resistant Materials.
