Thanks to the lovely MattGarner we have updated all Reputation images to new ones that should look much better on darker skins. Previously the negative and neutral reputation blocks had not been updated.

Also, following the comment made by Dom C and pursuant bashing by Yonder we have moved the FAQs images so that they are hosted on HxF preventing problems when Imageshack is silly enough to get themselves hacked by erebels.

Thanks to MattGarner and those who suggested the FAQ image change!

Many moons ago in a forum far far away...well not that long ago but a member recently linked me to a post to prove a point about something and I came upon a thread that I had supported as an AGM but never was able to get done (lets ignore the fact that the post and point had nothing to do with the point being made, thanks anyway Mentor).

User feedback has become one of the most important aspects to improving the forum and all of Habbox's services. Since the implementation of Forum Updates, I would say the majority of updates were spearheaded or initiated by users. We have tried our best to take on user feedback more and more and personally I think the various Forum Managers have done a great job evaluating the feedback and implementing many different ideas when possible.

However we'd like to give back to the people who do spend their time discussing various ways Habbox can improve and genuinely caring about the future of the site. But moreso, we'd like to really thank those that do it in a constructive way. Its all too often that there are very destructive or rude threads and posts in feedback which does nothing but create bad feeling and is sometimes targeted towards hardworking staff (especially those poor moderators). So its very nice to see those who are trying to improve Habbox with constructive comments for the future.

So what does this mean? We will be implementing the idea suggested by MissAlice (see here (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=503789)) to give VIP to contributors in Feedback each month. (Assistant) General Management and Forum Management will give VIP to users for various things. In some cases we will give VIP to users who suggested big ideas or not only confronted a problem but furnished a constructive solution. However, discussion is also key, so you might just get VIP for participating constructively and actively in discussions about possible new features or dealing with problems.

We will be capping the VIP at a maximum of ten users per month (this may go up or down in the future) however we may not always give out all ten.

There will be users who go unnoticed because one of the great things about Habbox is a lot of users do genuinely want to give back and so it won't be possible for us to award VIP to every member who makes a positive contribution. But we will do our best and hopefully one day we'll pick you out ;) We won't get everyone but this is a small step towards giving back to those who try to make Habbox a better place.

And finally, for always being positive and giving constructive ideas without attacking others, and for suggesting this idea, the first month of VIP in the Give Back to Feedback initiative goes to MissAlice

Enjoy!

My only concern is that if my appeals to Sulake to repeal the premium services rules ever succeeds I'll have shot myself in the foot by giving away so much VIP. And yes, they are still Very Important People

No you do not get to hit me.

But you can take out your anger! There are currently 9 open tournaments (because I created three too many) of Pacman created by yours truly.

You can only enter one tournament, if in a week some have not filled up I will announce that users can enter the second tournament.

Here's the deal, you win, you get stuff! You lose, you don't!

How can you earn points?

A) Beat me
B) Outlast me!

Its an 8 player tournament. You get points depending on how you do!

A) Beat Me

Win in 1st Round - 1 point
Win in 2nd Round - 2 points
Win in Finals - 3 points

B) Outlast Me - You get points for the round AFTER I get knocked out. So if I get knocked out in the 2nd round, you only get points if you make it to the 3rd round

1st Round - N/A
2nd Round - 2 points
3rd Round - 3 points

Now, you can't get prizes the first time around. WHY NOT? Because I still have to figure out the prizes, but at this point it looks like it may be something like 5 points - 1 month VIP, 15 points - 1 month VIP+ (that's still around???), 3/4 points - Donator.

But since nobody will reach any of those until next Sunday, the prizes will be announced then! Maybe you're thinking, well I don't know if I'd win anything good, why compete?!?!?

Because its fun. Duh?

This may be expanded to a "Beat the Champ" scheme where users can face off against the Champions of different games to win points, but we'll see if that happens. For now:

REMEMBER YOU CAN ONLY JOIN ONE
Tournament 1 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=169)
Tournament 2 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=170)
Tournament 3 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=171)
Tournament 4 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=172)
Tournament 5 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=173)
Tournament 6 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=174)
Tournament 7 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=175)
Tournament 8 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=176)
Tournament 9 (http://www.habboxforum.com/arcade.php?&do=viewtourney&tid=177)

Bring it on.

Hello everyone,

After a talk with the rest of the Forum Management and the General Manager we have decided that any sort of "Referral Threads" are not allowed to be posted on HabboxForum. Therefore if you do, they will just be moved out of public view and nothing else. This was probably the case before although it had to be re-confirmed to stop any confusion. :)

For those who don't have a clue what I'm talking about. Then this may help you:

Referral marketing is a method of Internet marketing that relies on gaining new customers by referrals, usually through word of mouth. Word of mouth is generally spontaneous and is achieved by businesses without any form of structured strategy.

Edit: This also goes for Forum Signatures.
