Cardiff's being used for RWC but won't be used for football world cup as they'll have enough stadium's capable of holding the games, they might though. Commonwealth games won't be here in 2014. Football world cup will probably. UK is going to host a lot of things in the next decade and further than that.

They'd probably use the Millennium Stadium.

I hope they use the RICOH ARENA in the footie world cup.

"The stadia selected are Twickenham, Wembley and the Emirates Stadium in London, Old Trafford in Manchester, Newcastle's St James' Park, Anfield in Liverpool, Elland Road in Leeds, the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, Welford Road in Leicester, Kingsholm in Gloucester and St Mary's Stadium in Southampton. The only stadium outside England to host matches will be Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, which will stage two quarter-finals and some pool matches. "

The Ricoh... Ahaha lets all visit Tesco. Elland Road, beauty! I'll go there. It's only down the road.

TBH we boast probably the best stadia outside of America, so it's pretty easy for us to stage events like these. :/

I knew somewhere along the lines England would be wanting Millennium stadium for the world cup ... :P

If Elland Road is used for the world cup (rugby) then I'm going to watch the games (that's if Wales play there of course), about 20-30 mins way from here.

I can cycle down to station in 5 minutes, lock it up for the day, then get a 15 minute train to Leeds, then get a shuttle bus probably to the stadium. :D They should be running them really.

Seeing as the Millenium Stadium is going to be used, I'd guess that Wales are going to play there just as they did in 2007.

If this was in Scotland I guess it would be a "good decade" for Britain, right?

It'll be used for some pool games, and a semi final. That's if RWC and IRB allow it.

and above poster, we're counting britain. as britain also got the rugby league world cup and scotland has got the commonwealth games.

my bad. well id guess that like you said, wales will be put in that pool. but yeah, the big organisations have to allow England to use another country's stadium.
