Check autotrader for cheap cars, or even ebay motors. Though if your buying privately make sure u do an HPI check,

That will tell u if the cars stolen or wrote off or if anything has happend to it.

Yeah it's a couple of quid. I don't know how old you are obv but try Swinton. Mine's just over a grand with them :).

You have 3k for a car and insurance, of course your buying one second hand! :P

Autotrader is the place to look, a lot of people stick their cars on ebay if they have problems so I wouldn't look there. Always make sure they are HPI clear, if they don't have full service history then make sure the pedals, seats, steering wheel, doors and the sound of the engine match the mileage. If you have any local garages then go check them out and see if they have any cheap cars in. Good luck and make sure you don't buy a crapper. ;)

Check insurance groups, you'll need a Group 1 or 2 car for cheap insurance.

I could only afford car+insurance for a fiat seicento lol, but i love my car haha, £3000 in total.

I'm only just 19 so I don't think yours will be much worse than mine (my Mini is only a 1.0 though). Deffo get a quote off Swinton anyway before you decide :).

You'll need to save up a bit more.

Your best bet is an earlyish Ford Ka, btw

HPI is a check, If you get HPI clear on a car, it means theres nothing wrong with it, or if there is, itl tell you.

For example: If some1s trying to sell a written off or stolen car, By doing a HPI check itl show what damages has happened to the car in the past, whether its been written off or reported as stolen.

Just to be safe.
