well my insurance isnt too bad for my car at the moment, its 3rd party fire and theft for 900 and its for a 1.6 focus, but once iv passed my test it goes to 1600. im with quinn direct at the moment, so is there any other decent companys that will be cheaper.

why are you driving a 1.6 as a new driver anyway? Of course its going to be high for a person like you driving a car with such a lot of power.

Get another car 1.0/1.2 in insurance band 1 and the quote should stay pretty fixed, Im on quinns and I pay like £600 which is pretty good as I only passed in january.

Why does it go up to £1600 after you have passed your test. Doesn't seem to make sense? :S

Because he's driving with somebody over 21 in the car whos had their licence for more than 3 years and then when he passes there might not be anybody in the car to watch him :P

Since when did you still use this forum?

@ Ross £1600 is the cheapest you're gonna get it for imo.

Yeah it's annoying that it goes up after passing, personally I've found Churchill and Direct Line the cheapest (and as far as I know you don't find them on the compare sites because they don't want to have to pay for that) by quite a long way.. I was paying about £1400 last year fully comp on my own name and this year when I renewed it's down to about £900 but some of the other companies were quoting me at even more than I was paying last year, so you do have to shop about

This is on a 1.4 btw

omg I hate driving my stepdad's C2, it feels like there's no bite point on the clutch at all lol so you have no idea when it's gonna start. Quite nippy once it gets going though

1600 isn't bad. It cost me £1600 for a MK6 Ford Fiesta (52 Plate) with a 1.3 engine.

Gah, insurance over there is awful. I'd be paying $25 every 6 months if I had one of you guy's cars :P
