If anyone remembers the "Forum Updates ~ 10th May". We announced “Spam Forum Bans”. Well this system has only just come into place and Super Moderators and Admins are now able to ban users from specific areas of the forum. At first, this was just for “Spam” on a trial basis but it could be extended to other forums. For the time being Moderators & Super Moderators will need the Forum Management’s permission before issuing so the system can be monitored and evaluated. The ban will be a period between 1 -7 days depending on the nature of the problem.
During this time the member who the ban has been issued to will be unable to see or use the “Specific Forum” they have been banned from for the duration of the ban. This differs from a caution as they will still be free to send private messages and operate their account as a normal member apart from the forum they are banned from.
Avoiding this type of ban either through account sharing / making a new account will result in the secondary account being permanently banned. This bans will be issued sparingly but strategically, so those issued with a “Specific Forum Ban” will be watched carefully during their ban to assure they are not using other accounts to avoid it.
