Just recently France and Germany have managed to fight there way out of financial misery. Both economies expanded 0.3 per cent in the second quarter of the year, compared with a contraction of 0.8 per cent in Britain.

Funnily enough Japan have announced that have came out of Recession.

This makes Gordon Brown look like a very foolish man and as "ex Chancellor of the Exchequer" he should of done better to lead us through this dreadful meltdown.

Compared to him and France and Germany's PM's he's got more experience then the two, meaning he should of been better equipped on getting us out of this.

They say Gordon Brown is the right man to lead us through this but this proves that he isn't. Ok our Economy are slightly bigger compared to France, may well even be bigger than Germany's but Gordon Brown with the experience that he has to his side hasn't done enough to lead us through.

Maybe if they did the Car scrapage scheme a little earlier and been a bit more generous with what they will be slashing off car prices then just maybe we would be out of Recession ourselves.

But lets face it, the The Conservatives wouldn't be able to do any better.

It's odd, because apparently the only reason the EU like Brown is because it has something to do with him "leading the way in the recession", when really the country has tackled it in an odd way. Spending out of the recession is one idea, but it has to be spent on something that gives a larger return, and I don't think any scheme has done that, other than mindless charity :S

Lol, leading the way out of recession? That's a good one. :P Gordon Brown hasn't got a clue about how to lead the Country. Bullied Tony Blair out of Office, he thought it would be easy, haha it's all back fired on him.

Tony Blair must be watching all of this and bloody laughing.

Uk has one of the biggest economy's in the EU and if Germany can do it and funny enough France can do it then i can't see why we couldn't of do it now. House prices are slowly rising but we've still got a long long road ahead of us.

Sooner we get a New Prime Minster, the better.

The car scrapage scheme was a good tactic to get us out of recession as you can see it worked for Germany but we did it so so wrong. The Government were mean with how much they would give people to buy new cars and Car manufacturers were clever as they were slowly rising there prices for their new cars so when this was going to come they wouldn't lose a penny.

Ugh I cannot stand Gordon Brown, I mean it's probably not his fault that he looks like he wants to die 24/7, but seriously, imo, he's done a rubbish job as prime minister so far. What makes him really sad is that he's wanted to be PM since he was 15 (pathetic, i know) and now when he has finally worked through all of the hard work to become prime minister he screws it up (imo)! I actually really liked Tony Blair, he was great with speaches, fixing problems, it was just disappointing that he teamed up with George Bush, that put a bad name on himself. Imo he was a way better PM than Gordon Brown is. I have to agree with you on there, the sooner we get a new Prime Minister, the better!

Well Australia has improved compared to the rest of the worlds economy, so we must be doing something right.

...maybe if Gordon Brown cut spending (as we're spending what we dont have) then we'd get somewhere, but what does it matter to him, because in a few months him and Labour (the champagne socialists) will be out of office, and they'll all get nice cushy jobs in the European Union, along with their large pensions (while they destroyed everyone elses).
