I REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE A FEEDER CLUB.

Cristiano Ronaldo believes his former Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney should follow him to Real Madrid.
Ronaldo left Old Trafford in the summer for a record £80million fee to complete a dream move to the Spanish giants and, while admitting Rooney is unlikely to leave England any time soon, he thinks the striker would fit in at the Bernabeu.
"Wayne would be a sensation out here. I think we could do with Rooney to help us out," Ronaldo told The Sun. "He would be brilliant if he came. This is the ideal place for the world's best players and there's little doubt he is one of them."
He added: "Wayne has all the skill and determination you need to make a fine career here.
"He has shown just how good he is over the last few years in England.
"And there's no doubt he would be the same sort of player in Spain. It would be lovely to see him here one day at Real Madrid.

Excuse me if I'm wrong in thinking this (and I may be so feel free to point it out) but I'm fairly sure there aren't any English footballers who've moved to Spain and gotten better. It seems to me like the place where Blighty chaps go to die.

Owen actually played well their, Beckham did Okay their. Woodgate ****** himself over their, was always injured... and McManaman just went for the ££.

unlike all of the city players, not all of uniteds players would jump to go to madrid.

Nah, United are arguably the biggest club in the world and Everton are a small club.

I can't think of any from Spain but Colin Kazim was born in England and is doing well in Turkey.

that's cos the turkish league is about as good as me playing against my dog in the back garden.

he's also turkish, by way of father i think. he's declared for their national team anyway.

He also got in a high-acheiving Euro 2008 Turkey squad. But yeah, he has been playing for Turkey since U21s.

ah haven't checked the La Liga table in a few weeks. They were having a few probs earlier on in the season. been knocked out of Copa del Rey, beaten by Milan at home with a generally dreadful performance (Milan have been playing crap too).

Appears they are second atm. But they really need a result at Milan on wednesday.

I'm laughing particually at the thread starter and some of you who actually "believe" that this has come from Ronaldo.

I'm not denying the fact that probably, Ronaldo would love to have Rooney at Real but this isn't Ronaldo speaking here, the words he would of use would be different, it's just The Sun trying to make a few bucks..

I don't believe Interviews reported by Newspapers unless there is media coverage (Interview on Camera) of person who the newspaper, have "claimed" said such.

Throw more money at rooney, he will go, simple.

You talk **** Jack. You do get the plastics in Clubs that say they Love the Club they wiant to say there for Life. Rooney says this but thing is, he means it.

Rooney Loves in the English life style and the ease of it, if the Club want's him as he's always said, then he will stay for life.

I know you would love him to leave though, shame you won't see it happening.

Yeh like he had a top on, 'once a blue always a blue' weeks later and what happens?

KingClow

I don't know much about that imo but Rooney's here for life, it's simple. He's settled here, i can't see him leaving even if some Club came along and offered him a extra 50k on top of his current wages unless there were issues with United and that he wanted to go because of this.
