Is there a focus body kit for the 02 model to make it look more sporty? Maybe a bit like the RS?

what do you mean?

any modifications you make, you have to state them on your insurance. and because the parts will be more expensive than stock parts, your insurance will cost more.

depends what you get. my mate was looking at this corsa that has a full body kit, like proper chavved up and they told him it added an extra grand onto their insurance. but if you're only talking about minor things then i guess you could just ask them..

I know my insurance wouldn't go up. When I call for coverage I give them my VIN, year, make, model, color and trim level. I don't have to say MY CAR HAS JDM HONDA THIS AND THIS.. if my car has a Honda body kit on it, a Honda body kit will be replaced in the event of an accident. The insurance company will probably never see my car!

Perhaps insurance is completely different in the US but it's certainly not the case here. ANY modifaction to your car, OEM or not, must be declared, which will almost always result in a rise in price.
Secondly, how do the insurers value your car after an accident without seeing it, for example if you wrote it off. You can't get away with insurance fraud.

if you don't declare them, then they may not pay out in an accident. My mate's car had loads of engine mods and got smashed up by some pikey, insurance bloke came round and was joking about it 'that's standard of course..' etc..
