Yep, over 26th - 30th all football league teams are scheduled to play twice (I think), who have you got? and what are your predictions?

We have Man City & Liverpool - hoping for 2-3 points after those two games.

Huddersfield at home on Boxing Day, going to be tough to get a result from that one.
Tranmere away on the 28th, could go either way really, depends how we play on the day.

Assuming both games go ahead, of course.

Coventry away & Leicester at home. 6 points.

Also had a massive bet today which could win me £600+.

StefanWolves
26-12-2009, 12:06 PM
What bet was that Adam?

@Meree, shut up, we're 12th at the moment, yes that will probably change by the end of the day, but the worst we could go down to is 14/15th, which isn't bad at all for a club like Wolves. Also, who do you support? I have never seen you in the sports forum before, what rights do you have with your lack of footballing nous?

Game called off today. Made all the worse when a lot of work's been put in to try and get the game to go ahead, just for the ref to call it off because of the surrounding area. Probably typical that it's now raining so the ice will melt. Just frustrating to miss out on a bigger than usual crowd and more fixture pile-up. With the Tranmere game looking like it might be called off too, it's looking to be a struggle when all the re-arranged games are on.

StefanWolves
26-12-2009, 10:52 PM
Gutted about it. We played fairly well in the first half, and up until our sending off we were dealing with Liverpool and had no troubles whatsoever. Yet again a refereeing decision ruins the game (doesn't matter if his decision was wrong or right, it still ruined the game).

MERKED BY THE JANNERS!

not really, we smashed them. missed loads of chances then 3 errors and a deflection led to their goal. it was in no way deserved. to be fair, they worked hard and battled but they're not staying up based on that performance.

we had it as well it's OK

but it's coventry and you're away. we had goalless plymouth at home. :(

oh well, lost to ipswich and plymouth we were bottom. on to the posh who are, erm, bottom. yippee!!!

What was McCarthy's point yesterday when he was sarcastically clapping the Liverpool staff? Surely he should be applauding the referee for finally getting it right? :S

Because the referee made a wrong decision which should have stood (it was wrong, yes, but it was HIS decision), then Rafa and the players got involved and then started hounding the linesmen, hence why the yellow card was rescinded and given to the correct player.

Black_Apalachi

Explain it then :rude:

Because the referee made a wrong decision which should have stood (it was wrong, yes, but it was HIS decision), then Rafa and the players got involved and then started hounding the linesmen, hence why the yellow card was rescinded and given to the correct player.

Oh OK. McCarthy was always one of my favourite managers for his common sense and always been able to take things on the chin and just say 'we'd have done the same thing' etc. Surely that especially applies here!

Also if you're trying to suggest the referee's balls up of a decision should have been ignored, then I say every time one of our players is about to be awarded a second yellow card, someone else should step in and claim it was them that committed the foul to save the team from losing a player. It could even be argued that perhaps Wolves did just that yesterday.

2-0 at home forest against coventry. Good game, amazing defence, dexter must of had a yorkie bar for that goal. Cohen played crap in midfield, wrong position, and referee and linesmen were shocking as usual.

Why are you so good this season? I remember we went to yours last Christmas and tonked you 4-2 and this year you gave us a whipping. Completely different team. Was it actually Calderwood's fault?

Another away loss for us.

Jordan the *** lost the game for us. We were dominating untill he got sent off meaning Kalverness ahd to come in ( who could of done better for the first goal) and nugent had to come off (who was looking likely to score first).

Now we're without jordan and mears for the stoke game. Mears was unjust as well, a clear tackle from the side was given a yellow card. Overall, should of done better.
