My school has these things called 'Inclement Weather days'. Basically if it snows most the time one of these happens you go in an hour later and come home and hour earliar.

But today our head realised it was too bad even for them (well bus companies). So a NEW revolutionary idea came - ONLINE WORK!! Now if he closes the school teaches send us work we are SUPPOSED to do,

Still, I won't do it - along with the other 1001 people in the school.

Seriously it is annoying lol.

:P

It's stupid, I haven't done anything, someone that my mum works with son is in Year 7, and is starting to bug me. 'x' (won't say name) has been doing work all day -0 have you done any?' 'Yes mum' 'What have you done'

And that goes on for ages eventually she goes away and says 'Well make sure you do, you are the only person not doing it' lol.

well schools are basically judged on their exam results. too much time off = missed lessons = worse results.

But let's be honest, snow or work. What are teenagers gonna do lol.

'I don't think any school has done this before, and I will say now it has been a huge success' blah blah blah - from the head lol.

It's silly Imean Inclement Weather days for every pupil that doesn't come in (last time around 750 of 1000ish didn't come in), ALL of those go onto unauthorised absence. So he is being a mug really, as that in itself looks bad.

yeah, it's not realistic. but even if 20% of students do the work, it's better than none.

Reminds me of the Simpsons where it's a snow day but Bart has to do school work :P

Your school did online work on snow days? What school did you go to? As our heads was boasting to be the first head in England to do it :\

As in they made you do lots of work online during holidays and teachers checked it when you went back. They seemed to have posted work for students over the closure.
The school was called Oakwood High, and then renamed to Chorlton High.

If I'm off monday I have to go online. I won't do it as a)I doubt any teacher will put work up. b)I just wouldn't concentrate and c)I can't be bothered.

OFFTOPIC: My capture image was "whose stripped" LOL.

Ive been to school once this week and no one has been set any online work. All the other schools in my area have though. The only work I've done at home has been revision.

I've done no work on any of my snow days.

Although, I probably should start doing some revision seeing as I have exams next week :D
