Liverpool played well up until they scored. After they scored Stoke kept on piling the pressure on but even then it wasn't a bad Liverpool preformance, but it just lacked that extra something aka Torres/Gerrard. Was a very defencive minded team to be honest. 3 CB's, 3 Full backs and 2 holding midfielders in the starting XI. He should have started with: Riena, Degan, Carragher, Kyriagos (sp.), Aurellio, Maxi, Mascherano, Aquilani, Lucas, Riera, Kuyt.

Saying that I can see why he didn't play them so fair enough but even if they put those 3 players on and subbed off Insua, Ngog and Skrtel or Degan then I think they could have grabbed another goal.

No - I didn't see the goal but generally players who come to united are generally good. I've seen a few videos of him when he signed for us and he looks quite decent and a promising prospect.

I'm passed being shocked by this, but how many times does a team need to go ahead and then concede in the final minutes? Just wow. I saw it coming but it didn't mean it hurt any less :( As for the penalty decision, that was a shocker by Lee Mason was that. Had my heart in my mouth in the 95th minute when Kuyt hit the post too.

No matter what you think of his abilities in front of goal he does work hard. And he does have a knack for scoring goals which get us out of trouble, so when I saw it I thought maybe just maybe our luck would change. Clearly wasn't to be :(

Lee attended Liverpool Institute of Higher Education (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liverpool_Institute_of_Higher_Education) between 1990-1993 where he gained his degree. Whilst there he played for his college football team as well as being a regular compere, hosting a variety of social events at the Student Union club, The Derwent. Lee is an old boy of the exclusive Newman Hall.

Wigan.. the horror..

Off to Villa Park later to see them rape West Ham, should ease the pain ever so slightly.
