Do you? Why/why not? Obviously, this applies to Uni/6th form/college too:)

Yes, I think both the staff and the school itself is decent. The school takes part in lots of eco friendly activities, it is representable etc and the staff are very well trained and can push ones who find it slightly less challenging to the best of their ability.

Let's hope that was what you were asking!

No, its Dark, Dingy, teachers always shout at you for walking on the wrong side of the corridor. It's beyond repair, way too far for me to walk. Teachers abuse their powers (EG Give after-school detention WAYYY to often)

When i was at school it was urr really good tbh. You get into trouble you didnt get half the punishment you deserved, Got caught with fireworks once and only got suspended for a week. Although i look back now and wish i would of payed abit more respect to some of the teachers i used to annoy.

Our head teacher used to go on about how it was one of the top few in the country or something. To be fair it was pretty decent, it had good pastrol care and everything.

Mines really good. It's one of the top ones in the NW and it's received all 1's and Outstanding's from OFSTED and has a huge Value Added ALPS percentage. The fact that I live in a very poor area means that it's even better and it's been praised of the government for being so good in such a bad area.

Heck, the headteacher even has an MBE for services to education :)

I would say my school is very good. We get very good results, have really good pastoral care and small class sizes. We have good resources and very good teachers, who genuinely care about you, not just your result.

naaaaaa, only thing it's good for for me is drama and media, that's why i can't wait for south devon wooooo

actually, edit, i lied, it's a great school i just can't stand it, but everything they do is tacky, e.g. http://www.kingedwardvi.devon.sch.uk/

I like the school I went to and like the 6th form I go to (same place). It's one of the lowest for the region in league tables, but they're not everything. I went to 6th form predicted CCDD. My first year grades were AAAB. I began GCSEs with the prediction of 10 Cs and 2 Ds. I came out with As, **(lol grade b plural, omg avoidin filtaz!!) and Cs...

In 2005/06 my highschool was in a pretty bad way. There was no defined head-teacher just a sort of ensemble of senior staff.

Got this new chap in and its pretty much sorting itself out. So for the most part it's good, well stocked although there are few social areas for the 6th form (all on one site).

Worrying smell of piss a lot of the time though :P

Some parts yes some no. Most no.
There are quite a few cool ass teaches around my school. End.

However the headmaster is total crap (even though he's doing another school atm hes "coming back" next year) and he's turned the place into a **** hole. Here's what he's done:
-Made the site look like crud by removing bins and the people who clear it up don't because the students are supposed to clear it up :S.
-He bribed us with a nonuniform day so we'd act good infront of the OFSTED inspectors.
-He and the head of languages totally effed us over making us do 2 years of german then make us do French (which noone wanted to do). Now were not even a language college and the teachers are like "you don't have to be here if you don't want" and we just say yes we do.
-He brought in a security gaurd, nuff said.
-He installed loads of cameras around the school when half of them don't even work (coz they're supposed to change direction but don't).
-He got like 5 30" TVs and only uses them to display the school day and school news.
-He's a douchebag who noone wants back, not even the teachers.
-He pulls us out of lessons to talk to us about behavior even though there's a clear assembly slot where he could do that, so he just disrupts our learning even more.
-He tried changing the school day so we have an hour lunch which noone wants. We even said "lunch times are boring and we'd rather go home earlier" and parents said that would just cause them inconvinence too and people would be confused by the whole day.

If I remember anymore I'll post

lmao my school cut 5 mins off lunch time to allow us to go home earlier, but I hated the change :P.

12 years in the same place (Year 1-lower 6th so far) and i'm loving it.

Relaxed atmosphere, pastoral care is awesome, we get a gym for free use in the 6th form, we have our own canteen in 6th form which is staffed all through the day so we can eat when we want and the school as a whole performs really well (99% pass for gcse, 99% for AS and 100% for A2 last year)

Keeping in mind this is fee paying.

I like my school for the most part. we're ranked in the top 10 for the state/area/something public schools :) a lot of our students do really well and most of the teachers are at least decent. some teachers are jerks tho and our water fountains SUCK. our school's really clean and nice looking. a lot of people complain but I think its because we do have such high standards that they know they need to work really hard to be the best even though they don't want to. however this year our principal (our AMAZING principal) retired in december so now we have some principal whose an interim principal and is old and technically already retired? :S its strange. but for the most part our school is good, but their lunches mostly suck too :P

Pretty bad tbh. Whites are the minorities. At least 3/4 of the school are drug dealers or druggies. Plenty of gangs, people have guns/knives/other crap all the time, nobody really gets caught. But its whatever, only another year.

Yeah, its pretty good. One of the top (if not top, im not sure) schools in my area
Teaching is generally good, but I cant stand some of them cause of the way they go about teaching (90% working from books).
I cant stand the "senior management team" either cause they're all power crazed, they try and stop you from hanging round the corridors and moan at you for the tiniest things.
But yeah, the rest of the school is decent. The rest of the teaching is good, we do well in sports + music (the choir + jazz band have gone to Rome + Paris and done their thing) and there's trips skiing abroad and shiz.
So all in all, not bad (h)

Nope, because we live accross from an Academy and there school looks lovley and were like a public school and we dont really have a uniform well we do but people add like there own personality into it and like the academys uniform looks so smart and our school just totaly needs re done the teachers hardly care and yeahh its just totaly not right Lol:P

I think my school is decent.
The teachers actually care about the students, and the school offers us anything that we need that will help us with our studies.
Lot's of educational trips that are actually productive and also the school has all of this raising aspirations stuff.

Also we have great facilities and features!
Climbing Wall, Archery, Gym, biometric lunch system and loads more.

My school has good enough teachers, really small school, only about 350 students. But the building itself is horrible, freezing cold, half the classrooms are prefabs outside and there's always leaks and half the toilets are out of order. I'd kill to go to a private school, but the closest one is an hour away :(

Hell no, my school spent 60K on boulders.
And its got a mud oval (which is where you play sports obviously) that isn't actually an oval, its like a messed up shape. You can't even define it! But thats off topic, so anyway the new principle wanted us to wear black shoes (which we never had to) and I had black shoes with red laces in originally and she wanted them changed =/ the mud oval makes your shoes dirty anyway. Dumb idiot!

its alright but its really unfair. quiet people can bunk and bunk and bunk as long as they suck up to teachers and they get away with it but im loudish and so even if im away for a day and i have a valid reason theres a huge uproar.

Staffordshire University, theres hardly any girls here and the social life in Stafford is super boring... but the lecturers all have workplace experience, especially the programmers, some are still employed to do other jobs. The facilities are just... amazing lol, they've practically got a campus to IT and Film.

My school is going to go back downhill considering our old head teacher is coming back. Read my previous post for his turd "improvements"

This is the wikipedia passage:
In 2005/06, Brighton Hill controversially changed its tutoring system by introducing mixed-year tutor groups. This change led to subsequent pupil protests that were covered in the regional news.[2] (http://www.habboxforum.com/#cite_note-1) The college also changed its house system, consisting of the houses Austen, Dickens, Kingsley, Adams and White, to a community system with communities called Athens, Barcelona, Montreal, Rome, Sydney and Tokyo. In a recent Ofsted inspection, the school was highly praised however the students were bribed with the promise of an extra non-uniform day in return for good behaviour. Although it was criticised for poor communication with parents.[3] (http://www.habboxforum.com/#cite_note-2) In recent years, the school has constantly ranked above local and national averages.[4] (http://www.habboxforum.com/#cite_note-3)
In June 2008, the college was featured again in the local newspaper after over 200 pupils were suspended following a protest on the field against an extension of 20 minutes to the school day, and the plans to force the entire school of 1,300 students to queue all at once. The strike was started by a small group of Year 10s before the beginning registration of the day. These students quickly spread word about their plans and after between 1-2 hours there was about 200 students on the far side of the field from the main school Buildings. Many children came and went throughout the day due to a warning issued by the headmaster that for every missed lesson a student must suffer one hours detention, and if the whole day is missed the student will be suspended for the rest of the week which happened to be the last week of school for the year. Once the day had finished the senior members of staff forced the students off the field before other students finished their lessons to avoid difficulties. The very next day all students turned up as normal but with a surprise in store for them as a Sports teacher named Mr Du Heaume was waiting at the school gates with a list of 117 names of those who were to be sent home as they were excluded for the rest of the week. This caused a lot of complaints from parents because of the disorganisation and inconvenience caused by the school towards all of the parents and Students. After the school had closed for the Summer Holidays another surprise was in store for the protestors as half way through their summer break all 117 excluded students were sent a letter reading that the expelled students had had the punishment erased from their records, as discussed between The Headmaster and the School Governors which left the students pleased with their 7 week summer holiday and no punishments.[5] (http://www.habboxforum.com/#cite_note-4)
In November 2009, a series of false fire alarms went off following a dispute between the school and it's GCSE students following the cancellation of study leave.

They're the main bits, they removed some stuff I put on their like about the security guard.
