Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010

On the 12th Of February the official Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony will be held in the city of Vancouver. During the following few weeks there will be sports such as Ice Hockey, Curling and Skeleton. Is there any particular competitor/sports you will be looking out for? Or are you not very interested in the Winter Olympics?

I think I like the winter olympics better than the normal ones.
the skeleton is insane! going down an ice track head first on a little sled! the speed and g force they reach is mental! the downhill skiing is crazy aswell.. have you seen some of the crashes!?
the speed skating is pretty cool aswell.

they've had huge problems with the weather though. been raining and too hot but they were clever and stockpiled a load just incase something happened so they just brought it down from higher ground.

actually there hasn't been snow at all this season really. the snow melted as soon as it came and the rain had nothing to do with it lol

I don't think there would be any point moving real snow because if it's too warm for it to snow, then it would just melt anyway.

Trucking in snow from another town doesn't fit neatly into the green theme, but it seems there's little choice — unless athletes are prepared to snowboard on grass.

No they had some snow falling but it rained and got rid of most of it and was melting the snow on the bottoms of the mountains

Womens luge was quite interesting.

But God damn I am totally disappointed with the Russians. I hardly see them anywhere, do they not have enough athletes?

They even had problems finding athletes for figure skating so asked Plushenko to return even though he resigned.

I cannot believe this tbh. There was a Japanese female that became a Russian citizen just to take part in the W.Olympics for Russia. WTH? Where are all the Russian going?!

Eve is 19 and she's at the WO as skip so i think she did a pretty good job. Yeah there were about 3 games we could have one with the last 2 stones but it's all a learning curve and if we had the last stone in the 11th end yesterday we would have beat canada after stealing in the 10th End.

Basically another 4 years or training for eve and a couple new faces in the squad which is so old compared to her then we're in with a change.

Also she is pretty hot for someone of scottish origin :rolleyes:
