Forum Updates ~ 14/02/2010

It's Valentines day and because Oli and I have nothing better to do with our time, we're bringing you another bunch of updates! This week, they include the following:



Runescape "Recent Updates, Future Updates, News & Rumours" forum removed.
"Tutorials and Guides" forum removed.
New Runescape trading rules.
Lmfao and omfg removed from the filter.
"Questions / Comments about Habbox Competitions" forum removed.

Following some research into what we should do with the runescape forum with a selection of users from the runescape forum we decided to merge the "Recent Updates, Future Updates and News" forum into the main RuneScape forum to encourage more general discussion in the main section.

From now on all news and updates should be posted in the main Runescape section which can be found here (http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=214)

A prefix has been added called "News" so you can identify which threads are news.

Bit or a RuneScape themed updates this week eh?

Following looking into the 'Tutorials & Guides' forum we realised that a lot were outdated and new ones don't really get posted anymore.

We realised it was a bit silly having a whole subforum for 38 threads when only a few of them were up to date.

Don't worry though, thanks to the help of IceNineKills we have kept the guides which still have relevance and these can be found stickied in one guide collection here (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=628427).

Following a suggestion from scottish we have decided to create a set of RuneScape Trading rules similar to those we have for the Habbo trading section.

Ensure you follow these new rules whilst trading your runescape items.

After discussions with both management and members it has been decided that we will remove both "omfg" and "lmfao" from the forum filter, as they are not offensive and cannot be used in an offensive way.

Please note, excessive / immature use of these words after they are unfiltered will result in us filtering them again - don't lose your heads over it!

The "Questions and Comments about Habbox Competitions" forum has been removed, due to lack of use. All the threads have been moved into the "Ask the Competitions Staff" forum, and all questions or comments regarding Habbox competitions should now be directed there.
