How many points do they loose?

Won;t this be the record breaking lowest point team ever in the prem?

StefanWolves

Probably yes, they'll lost 10 pts, I think they're on 16 atm.

Think if it is a premiership club they get deducted 9 points?

Real shame to see Portsmouth like this, hopefully they can get a proper chairman this time..

That's not a given. :P

It was always when not if really, shame though they did so well staying in the prem after they got promoted years ago :)!

They'll bounce back the season after.

Am I right in saying that if the club completely folds then points gained against them will be void?

If so, that could have a massive effect on the race for 4th place, as Liverpool lost to them so it'd stay the same for them... but not villa, city or spurs.

I wouldn't say so much. They have a very poor squad with the half of it being loans.

Think I saw (on 606) if they did go bust then the points would be void.

Not sure if its right though..

Correct, it's part of the rules.

No only if pompey go bust.
isn't administration the same thing?

CHA!NGANG

No it isn't. Bust means the club will no longer exist and the players become free agents I think. Shame I think as I like Portsmouth as a club but oh well they will be back one day :)

I disagree, I can see them getting relegated again to League One.

Pompey's going down with no money in the bank, no money in the bank, no money in the bank. Pompey's going down with no money in the bank, no money in the bank, no money in the bank..
They're going down, going down, going dowwwnn, they're going down....

If they somehow manage to completely go bust before their cup game on the 6th are Southampton allowed to claim the place? :P

The administrators will take months to sort everything out and probably look for a new buyer. They won't be closing them down or stop them playing I would very much doubt.

It's a sorry sight to see. Wouldn't wish it upon any club apart from Manchester United, Everton and Stockport. Felt sorry watching the lad on SSN telling the Pompey **** what he felt only for the Pompey **** to later on say 'Atleast the true Pompey fans have shown me respect', Pompey ****. :@

Can't see pompey bouncing back up either.

It wouldn't be right!

Black_Apalachi

Wow, they would have won the league too if it weren't for the 6 points they're being deducted. Alex is right though, will be proper weird without Pompey :(
