3 Period Day

I am aiming to increase the number of opportunities for students to learn in this kind of way, by coming out of their lessons and working with different groups of students. This is one of the reasons why SCHOOL NAME will, from May, have a three period day rather than the five period day we have now. Students will have three lessons of hundred minutes every day, and follow a two week timetable...etcDoes anyone else have this?

That's technically less school if you had an hour a lesson before? But yer I think this is bad imo, I remember when they tried increasing our lunchtime but all we wanna do is go home but there reasons were for a better break, I couldn't stand the same lesson for 100 minutes.

Oh, it also says School starts at 8:50 and ends at 3:30 still with 1 hour lunchbreak

naw i have like 9 periods, each 50 minutes each (one is 45 minutes). lol sounds dirrty

no and that is far too long for some lessons and gets confusing when you have to have a two week rotational timetable. I prefer 5 a day ;)

I have (on a full day) 4 periods of 90mins each, 9:00-4:20

i have 8 35 minute periods with 5 mins between or doubles which are 1 hour 15 minutes (75 mins)

Period 5: 12:00-12:35
Period 6: 12:40-13:15

It was gonna be changed to (and could be because that douchebag headmaster is coming back but if it does I probably won't be there)

My school has absolutely pissed me off. We had inspectors come in and they "recommended" a new way. Basically, we have registration 10 minutes shorter, lunch an hour later WITH THE WHOLE SCHOOL but 10 minutes extra longer for lunch. :@

I know a school that does this. Year 11's have a double once a week two.

100 min lessons would be great - if it is a subject you like. I can imagine if I ended up having to do all Latin, Spanish and German is one day lol.

It reminds me of this thing called block scheduling I used to have. We had the same amount of hours in the day but the periods lasted 80 minutes rather than 45 like periods usually are. Tbh I hated it. I can't stand staying still for that long. :/
