I think the merge is a good as we will then be able to interact with more people throughout the world also we will be able to communicate with people further around the world so that will make us improve our communicating skills and we will be able to make new friends.:)

With most things, there will always be negatives and positives, just like for this historical merge.

It will have a huge impact on Habbo Competitions. Before they were able to run competitions where you could go to London to visit the habbo offices. Such competition will be rare or cease to exist as there will be users from all over the world and it will not be dominated by just UK users after the merge.
However, it will allow for more competitions and hopefully bigger competitions.

A great positive will be that the hotel will always be busy. If you go to the UK Hotel at 6am, its empty. However, after the merge, it should be quite popular at all times.

It will also have a huge effect on the rare values. Furniture might be labeled by its origin. It will crash the rare values. No one will know what is worth what, however, after several months, it will be back to normal and Habbo will have more furni than ever. Some rares will become super rares as it will be hard to find them in such a hard hotel, and some super rares will become ultra rares.

The merge will be an exciting new "feature" of Habbo. It will take time to get used to, but after a while, I think the majority will enjoy it.

How do you know I ain't seen this news anywhere?

Edited by Alex3213 (Senior Competitions Staff): Check the Habbo UK and Rumours section on Habboxforum. This is a competition so if you wish to enter make sure you follow what the competition asks you to do.

To be honest, Habbo haven't really given a clear answer of why they are merging? UK and US are so big that it's pointless, the other hotels may have benefited but I don't see a point.

There are so many things that can go wrong:
1. This names business is chaotic and unfair because people have those accounts for a while and they have to change
2. Rare values are mucking up, for example the Green parasol went from 3HCs to 130HCS in a matter of days.
3. I still think it will be hard to run Habbo for all around the world and so many people which would cause us lag
4. I don't understand what will happen to fansites? There are many fansites for each hotel, so how will they be chosen?
5. These rares that are un-released in some hotels would cause havoc if they were released as only that hotel would have had the opportunity to get these rares. As well as that, when rares go up or down in value, these super rare compromises won't be that rare due to probably a lot of people getting them, and apparently they are all caled Merger [Something] which doesn't sound great
6. Where would the head office be? How will decisions be made?
7. Wouldn't there be too many people, rooms, pets, furni etc which would spoil the hotel because people can't get access to the popular rooms?
8. Timezones are different so how can celebrity visits be sorted and wouldn't it be hard to turn up to these events due to too many people, just like staff-organised events.

I don't think it is necessary. I like the fact we are a UK Hotel - if US people want to play on the UK Hotel, fine. Why force us to if we don't want to? There will be a lot of rascism involed with the merge too, and a lot of people are losing their usernames. Nobody wans a stupid symbol in their username do they? Habbo has been rubbish since BETA was introduced, and soon nobody will play Habbo and they only have themselves to blame.

Habbo - **** it.

I'm completely for the Merge, it offers so many benefits. There are some down sides to it e.g. Rares values going crazy but as long as your smart about it, it's nothing to worry about. It means that we'll have a larger hotel with thousands of new people, not only improving the amount we can trade but best of all improving my knownledge of the other English speaking hotels.

Sulake also considered our names and how much many of us love ours. So they came up with a fair system for all hotels. It also means we'll have more event e.g. more celebrites, more competitions and more chances to enjoy what Habbo has to offer. It should also improve the quality of Sulake, some members may have to go but on the whole there should be more Moderators and better team to answering any questions we have. We should have a great community.

Obviously, its not only a great thing for Habbo but I can see it will be a brilliant thing for Habbox. We could get hundreds even thousands of new uses on here, and many more members of staff from all over the world. Basically making Habbox International. Anyway this is just my feelings on it =).

The Hotel Merge is 50/50 between good and bad.
Bad:
They tryed doing a Multi country before and what happend to the server? It died... Sometimes there is going to be maybe 20,000 Habbos online. habbo uk is laggy when 10,000 is online.
so how is this server gunna cope.
Also sulake is doing this to raise proffits and cut staff... It's a known fact that sulake arent earning enough so their putting toll rates on market place and habbo exchange. Also changing credit value etc.
Good:
If you had difrent accounts on hotels basicly you can transfer all the furni to one account if you have mozzila firefox and IE8
You Will be able to make more friends easily because there will be More users online.
Again more people online = More games more top rated rooms.
All in all Im In between on the topic.
Ill wait 2 or 3 months before ill decide see if the servers will hold and see if this is a good move

All of the English speaking people used to play on the same hotel, we can do it again. It really wasn't that bad. In fact, it was a lot of fun. I had SO much more fun playing back in the day when it was just one, but maybe that was because I was younger. Either way, it's not that bad. The only bad thing is the Rare furni values ;)

I have been playign habbo for two years now, so i have quite a bit of experience and i am looking forward to having the merge it will bring for habbo's,fansites, games and competition to the hotel. But there's always a but some of this is guna cause some bad behaviour because for some reason some of us on uk dont like the usa, ( i do i like their accent x'D) so theres going to be more work for modderators.
I hope when they merge they pull ther finger out and get some type of new rare system like monthly collectables, and funky friday's. People are getting slightly boared with some of the same old furniture. I have sent a few requests into sulake asking for certain things to be handed out around the hotel and these look to have been ignored, because i havent saw any thing new. Right im not so posed to be complaing :) Soo getting back to this merge i think overall its going to be a good thing, i like to vistit cool rooms and casino's so i cant wait to get exploring! Can you ?

Thanks For The Merge Date ( Btw thats when my tuna runs out of date 20th aprill ='D )McKenzie24

I think it's a great idea, but I hate how people keep bringing up racism. UK is not a race, USA is not a race. lol. Essentially where everyone is from will become bland anyways. It's a great idea to merge.

Hello i am -Sof
And i believe the merge will bring lots of benefits. Mostly meeting new people from all over the world who speak different languages. For example im english but am learning french so i may benefict from it that way. We will also be able to learn about each others different cultures. I am very looking forward to this & thankyou for giving us the date of the merge. Looking forward to it :).

The merge is a 50/50 with good and bad sides!

Bad:
1. Rare values will fall!
2. The hotel will be too busy therefore lots of lag.
3. Competitions will be harder to win as too many people will enter.
4. Current staff in each hotel now are going to find hard on communicateing with each other.
5. Lots of fansites have the same name and what are UK fansites going to do? Pay extra becuase of Sulake?

Good:
1. You will meet many new friends
2. Habbox/Habboxlive and habboxforum will be even more popular!

I think the merge will be interesting because it will bring together all the English Speaking hotels, but of course with that you bring more stasticaly speaking 'rule breakers'. This will of course mean habbo will have to get more staff and pay more to there staff to do more hours. I will also think the rare values will go crazy because of them different on every hotel , But people will also make alot of profit out of this! oh yeah!to sum it all down I think the merge will be very interesting bring on the merge! Im ready, are you?

This is a terrible move. Habbo use to be about meeting people who you have things in common with, such as
sharing the same wonderful country they live in. Now, its just like any other game, which you meet someone
who gets mad because you insulted their country?

Ever thought about the timezones? Now you have to. Since all of the english speaking hotels are merging, we
are going to have to think about, will I be on at that time?. Since the english speaking hotels are fairly far
away (map wise), will 5pm out time, be 11pm their time?. This may result in not being able to participate in
many of the events the hotel has to offer.

Finally, I don't like this merge, because habbo has been changed enough. When you look back 2 years ago,
habbo was a friendly, non advanced way to have fun. In my opinion they have changed it up to much, and made
things much more confusing than they need to be. Should they change it even further with this merge?

In conclusion, I don't think its a good idea for the english speaking hotels to merge, their may be some good...
but their is much more bad. ;)

I believe this will cause alot of good points but alot of problems too :(
Due to the release of this im not too sure if it will last or if habbo will eventually die down.
I personally dont want habbo to die down but this change could either be a mass success encouraging
thousands upon thousands to join, or a epic fail causing people to leave.

The Good:
- Thousands more player will be join.
- Many more items will drop in price since (Since there will be alot more stock, less demands)
- The countries can communicate more.
- Harder accomplishments to become rich, Meaning your look much better with alot of hard work
- They can now have big multi massive tournaments and competitions for country VS country. That would be sweet.
- New opportunities to make money in-game.

The Bad:
- Many people May leave due to Items decreasing in price (too higher stock), Everyone knowing prices so no low-balling no more,
Marketplace being spammed, Rooms being Spammed, Major lag, And every oppertunity (Competitions, roleplaying) being corroded by everyone
- The whole Trading system blown-up causing a whole new values on all items :(

NOTE: The most important bad point ever!
Habbo.co.uk Will loose its originality, and it will encourage gangs in habbo! Country verses Country. Not saying that its a real bad thing But it can be used 2 ways,
Country VS Country to Scam each other OR Country VS Country Tournaments made by habbo! This can either Work with a big success were people work with the
system or it could fail and be rebelled against! :S

What i am trying to say is that my idea on the merge is a 50/50 Thing it depends on if people want to work with or against the system. But TBH i really want this to happen
due to alot of experienced players and rich characters Will be joining and also it encourages alot more ideas and influences towards the game. But Kill alot of what used to be
such as oppertunities and get rich schemes.
