Hey New Users!
There are just a coupe of rules you must remember when posting on the Habbox Forums:

When using www.habbox.com and www.habboxforum.com you must follow the Habbo Way aswell as our rules that we have to keep the main site and forum running as well as they do.

General Forum Rules:

A1. Respect other people's views - Everyone has different views on different topics, respect their views as you would expect them to respect yours.

A2. Don't swear - It really is as simple as it sounds. The forum filter will substitute the letters of swear words with *-signs. However some words might not have been censored as of yet, and are not suitable on this forum. It is not allowed to try to avoid the swearing filter or to post any swearing that does not come up as ****

A3. Don't give your msn or email or ask for somebody else's - To protect people from getting hacked, it's strictly forbidden to tell your msn or email or ask for somebody else's msn or email. If you need to contact somebody send them a Personal Message. The only emails that you are allowed to mention are the @habbox.com emails that can be found on the Habbox site.

A4. As forum name use the exact same name as your Habbo name - If you have more than one Habbo name, your forum name has to be the same as one of them. If it is not we will change your forum name to your Habbo name. An exception to this rule is when you become a Habbox VIP, then you may change your Forum name to any name that you want, as long as it is acceptable by us.

A5. Do not post anything that can be considered as being rude or insulting towards people working for Habbox - We don't allow any form of abuse, but are extra sensitive when it comes to abuse towards Habbox Staff. THIS INCLUDES IN REPUTATION COMMENTS!

A6. Do not post your photo anywhere on the forum - The reason for this is your safety as some people may start stalking you pretending to be something that they are not.

A7. Don't imposter anybody from Habbo or Habbox - It is not allowed to pretend to be somebody that you are not, this includes VIP members using Habbox job titles or similar titles that make them look like Habbox staff.

A8. Do not pretend to work for Habbox when this is not the case - Don't suggest in any way that you are working for Habbox, not on this forum or on Habbo or anywhere else.

A9. Don't sell or buy Habbo accounts - Because the original owner can always get his old habbo back with the original email entered when the habbo was created, it is strictly forbidden to sell or buy Habbo accounts. Trading rares for credits is at your own risk.

A10. Don't ask for free furni, credits or anything else - This includes asking for free furni for giveaways.

A11. Do not name anybody for hacking, scripting, trashing or any other bad things - Because we don't want innocent people being accused of illegal activities, we don't allow accusing others at all. This means it's also NOT allowed to accuse hobbas or Habbo Staff of abusing their powers or anything else. Also posting any images of people is NOT proof of them doing anything wrong as it could be an alteration.

A12. Do not post any (links to) texts, pictures or websites that contain information that is considered illegal by Habbohotel - This means you are not allowed to give any information about scripting, hacking or scamming. Also no screenshots of tools used by hobbas or Habbo staff like Housekeeping are allowed. Anybody found doing so will be banned and may be reported to any relevant authorities.

A13. Do not advertise any websites that are Anti Habbox or have Anti Habbox content - This includes other forums or comments due to poorly moderated sites.

A14. Do not post anything offensive about other sites - This includes sites that have anti habbox content. It is strictly forbidden to ask or talk about flooding, hacking or damaging any website in any way.

A15. Do not post private messages or quote private conversations - It is not allowed to post Private Messages without the senders permission either in a Post or in another Private Message . Also it is not allowed to quote anybody from a private conversation, for example in a Private Message or in a private forum, without the author's permission.

A16. Do not put more than 30 characters in your Location for your profile - You are not allowed to have more than 30 characters in your Location in your profile so it doesn't create a scroll bar and make people annoyed.

A17. Do not have an avatar bigger than 100 x 60 Unless your VIP - If your avatar is bigger than 100 (height) x 60 (width) and your a normal member then please smallen it to the correct size. VIP's and Forum Manager's are allowed an avatar size of 150 (height) x 150 (width)

A18. Do not use a bigger size picture in your signature - If you have a picture in your signature then make sure it is not bigger than 150 (height) x 700 (width), if your picture is bigger than this then please remove it!

A19. Do not have more than ONE picture in your signature - If you have put two or more pictures in your signature then remove them as you are only allowed to have one picture in your signature.

A20. Do not have a usertitle which causes a scroll bar when you send a pm - If your usertitle causes a scroll bar when you send a pm to somebody then you must shorten it down or put < br> in it which will make it shorter and on two lines

A21. Do not give out any (personal) details about somebody else - - It is not allowed to tell any details about somebody else, like somebody's age, location, or there name to another habbo that somebody uses, or anything else, unless you have the person's permission.

A22. Don't ask for any personal information -It is not allowed to ask for age, birthday, msn, email, phonenumber, location or any other personal information on the forum, this is for your own safety. It is allowed though to ask in which (part of a) country somebody lives.

A23. Don't give any information about how to get unbanned on Habbo -It is not allowed to give technical information that can be used to get unbanned on Habbo Hotel.

Personal Message Rules:

B1. Don't send Personal Messages to Habbox Staff or Hobbas that they haven't asked for - Do not ask for friend requests or anything else. If you need urgent help on Habbo Hotel use the call for help button and wait in your room.

B2. Do not use Personal Messages for advertising - It is very annoying to receive spam off people.

B3. Do not send abuse, threats or any other kind of bullying to anybody - We have the ability to read any personal message sent on the forum but we will only do this in extreme circumstances, by using our personal messaging you agree for us to be able to check your personal messages if we receive complaints about abuse or bullying of any kind, depending on how serious we think the matter is we may report it to the relevant authorities.

Forum Thread Rules:

C1. Don't post for the sake of your post count - It's always nice to have a high post count, it may seem as though people will respect you more with a higher number beside your name - but it doesn't really mean anything on these forums. We respect each of you whether you have 1 post or 1000. If we think you are posting for the sake of your rank, we will assign you your very own rank: 'Ridiculous Poster'.

C2. Don't post short or meaningless messages - We don't want replies like "i dono" or "why" or "yeah". We have set the forum so that any message must contain at least 9 characters, do not try to get around this by adding meaningless characters.

C3. Don't post messages containing more than 15 smileys - This causes a lot of lag and is annoying for people with a slower internet connection.

C4. Don't double post - Don't post two or more messages in a row. If you need to write something else, simply edit your post which you can do by clicking the icon in the top right corner of your message. This also means you cannot use the "Quote" option twice in a row.

C5. Don't post any obscene or offending alterations - This includes gory alterations or pictures containing a lot of blood, and also holds for avatars and signatures, the main reason for this is due to the varied age range of habbox members.

C6. Let Administrators and Moderators deal with any posts breaking the forum rules or any other problems concerning the forum rules - Do not post a message in which you tell another forum member they have broken the forum rules. Don't post a message in which you ask for another forum member to get banned or unbanned. If you think there has been a rule broken, click on the "Report Bad Post" icon at the top right of that post and explain the problem. If your problem is not about one particular post, you can also post a message in the "Report Abuse" forum with a brief description and some details of the problem (add a link if possible) then we will look into it.

C7. Do not abuse the "Report Bad Post" button - Anybody who abuses this option on posts with which nothing is wrong will find themselves in trouble.

C8. Do not ignore a Moderator's warning - Due to certain people not respecting our hard working staff we have now introduced a temporary ban for less severe cases but after one temporary ban the next ban you will receive is a permanent one. if you discover you are banned check your email that you have registered with and you will have an explanation why and for how long you have been banned.

C9. When in the competition forum only post competition entries - Do not post questions or comments it is not the place to do so.

C10. When posting in the news and rumours forum do not post things that you know are not true - This includes posting fake screenshots and your own made up stories.

C11. Do not post any advertisments for anything illegal or what would be considered inappropriate for anybody from 11 years old upwards - Habbo Hotel is aimed at people aged 11 years old or over so we do not want anything to offend anybody in anyway.

C12. Only give reputation points for posts that deserve them - There are many reasons to give good reputation points. The post may have helped you, had been well written or be a very good reply. Giving rep points to others just because its a friend or negative reputation points just because you don't like somebody will not be tolerated. Giving bad reputation points when not called for or without a reason is also not tolerated - Anybody caught doing this may get a big reduction to their rep points or worse!

C13. Do not ask for reputations points directly or indirectly - Do not make a post or a thread or send a pm asking for someone to give you reputation points.

C14. Do not run competitions in any of the forums - Habbox is not responsible for handing over prizes for competitions run my members. Therefore if a member wants to run their own competition they are only allowed to do so by contacting the Habbox Assistant Competitions Manager.

Graphics Rules
Graphics Category Rules (Latest updates marked in grey)

1. If you are not going to give constructive critisism, don't post at all - Do not reply to alteration posts with things like: bad. If you think somebody's alt is bad then tell them how to improve it and actually help.

3. Do not post gory or vulgar images - This includes lots of blood, real of pixel art and pictures of a sexual nature.

4. Do not ask your alteration to be moved to the Elite alterations section - Moderators will move what alterations they think deserve to go there, it is their decision not yours.

5. Don't be rude about people's alterations - Try to give constructive criticism instead of blatantly being rude towards somebody due to their alteration skills.

6. Don't use other peoples alterations without permission - Only use other peoples alterations with permission as this will cause a lot of fuss if you do not have permission.

7. Don't shout at somebody to remove their alteration because it is stolen - If you find a stolen image that someone is using and claiming is theirs without permission, PM a Graphics category moderator and we will sort it out.

8. Don't accuse anybody of stealing an alteration without proof - Also, when you are posting an alteration that has some parts of someone elses alteration you must state this otherwise you may end up getting in trouble.

Good effort, however...

I don't think newbies would read all of this, first stanza then they'll get bored.
You should have thought first what you would like to write about, and then instead of writing an essay, make a step-by-step guide on how to become a good Fomrum member. Bullet points help to breakdown loooong sentances and makes it easier to digest the learning, I know I may sound like a teacher here but it worked for me :D
