The stadiums look stunning.

I do think however with every World Cup there should be one stand-out stadium with a capacity of around 80,000 or more, for example Soccer City in this year's World Cup. Maybe that's just me being picky :P.

EDIT: Just saw there's 7 more stadiums to be unveiled, so perhaps one of them will have a higher capacity.

I thought dubai was in hideous debt? but then agian rio and holding the Olympics so anything is possible as brazil have greatest national debt in the world :P Well good luck to them i think they would do it well and the stadiums look fantastic :P

before long, i can see only a few countries being able to hold the world cup. most of them being in europe with the odd exception

I'm not sure it can be in the same continent consecutively, but i see what you mean.

Very impressive. I hope they win it. I'm looking forward to 2022 already.

It's all well and good building these stadiums, but Fifa always say they want to leave 'legacy' in the countries that the world cup is hosted, will it leave Qatar a legacy? I doubt it. Also the heat, yes they say they will 'air condition' the stadiums, that will work for the fans as they're just sitting doing nothing, however the footballers will be working tirelessly, and the humidity will still get to them, the air conditioning won't make a difference, unless they put roofs on all of the stadiums to stop the scorching summer sun getting onto the players then I don't see how they're going to stop players from dehydrating.

I'd love it to go to Qatar, but I don't see how it can, there are too many obstacles in the way, heat, lack of interest for football their, poor national team, small-ish populations, also there isn't any huge stadiums from what I can see that would be eligible to host the World Cup final? doesn't Fifa require like a 60,000+ seater stadiums for the final?

Anyway, saying all that, money talks, and Qatar have a lot of it. :P

Americans just have to out-do them all.

Not liking the fact they're all american football stadiums, though.

No stadiums over 45k? Pathetic.

As opposed to USA where no stadium is under 45k.

Exactly. Even England have 4 or 5 stadiums over 50,000...

There are more to come, so some might be a lot bigger.

I think the USA is too big to host the cup.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It'll be like flying from England to Germany if you have to play a game on two different sides of America.
