riight, i had my 3rd driving lesson on friday (gone) in a 09 reg Toyota Yaris. i've absolutely fell in love with this car. the one thing i love most is where the mileage system thing is positioned in the car (central rather than behind the steering wheel, its just too cool to describe). I've been looking on various websites for used toyota yaris's up to the £2,999 mark (from 2000 - 2003). i've come across a few and now i think it's definite that i will be getting this as my first car.

do you, your parents or someone you know have this car? if so could you ask them what they think of it and to post some feedback for me, i will much appreciate it.

its just time to now save up.

A friend of a friend of mine has an '03 plate one, 5 door. She says it's a pretty decent car (although upon saying that, she did have a white P-reg Nissan Micra before it, so anything is pretty decent compared to that), and I've been in it - the central dash thing is pretty mental.

However if you're looking for more genuine advice and opinions on the Yaris, or any car for that matter, you're better looking up some reviews of it. I found some good reviews of the 1999-2006 model Yaris for ya from some pretty well known car geeks:

Auto Express (http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/usedcartests/203104/toyota_yaris.html)
Parker's (http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/toyota/yaris-1999.aspx)
Auto Trader (of new model though) (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/carmakes/toyota/yaris)

If your looking for expert opinions on cars then you can't get better than these guys - they review cars for a living.
Your best staying on Auto Trader aswell for finding your ideal Yaris aswell.

Good luck fella.

My mate had a Yaris T-sport which was tuned to the nuts, it was an awesome car but he's sold it now. My other mate has a 1.3 yaris which has the colour coded bumpers etc but it's nowhere near as nice as the T-sport.. My advice, get a T-sport, they're 1.5 VVTI but they're cheap on insurance and pretty nippy standard (100bhp) - my mate's was 136bhp so nigh on the same as the golf I used to have. The trim's much nicer inside and out, nicer seats, speedo, bumpers etc and they're a pretty cool car! the other models look a bit girly IMO.
