Will go to 36,000 seats by 2014, and after that, depending on demand for tickets, they can make it a 'bowl effect' and push the capacity up to 50,000.

Amazing.

what kind of crowds do you get now?

We sell out.

However the only way I can see them selling an extra 10,000 tickets is reducing prices. And if we stay in the Premiership we should attract more people to come watch, so we should fill it up. Not sure about the plans to get to 50,000. But it would be nice! :P

we (derby) were going to upgrade to 38 000 (or was it 40 000) not sure if we stayed in the prem but we didn't cause we sold out almost every game (even coming bottom of the league!)

maybe next time. =(

Bit pointless when you're going down this season :D, we're going to fill in 2 corners if we stay up this season.

Haha, I have a feeling you may struggle this season ;)

West Brom are probably down also, Blackpool are down that's for certain.

Why's there going to be 1 **** stand still? I hate how St James' Park is out of proportion in-terms of the size of the terraces. Will it be like Spurs where one stand will be closed off and worked on for a season, then another the next etc etc?

One stand every season from 2011 until 2014, + corners filled in soo.

They're getting planning permission for it to be a complete 'bowl', but they will only make it a complete 'bowl' after 2014 if demand for tickets is high enough.

You'll sell out 36,000?

StefanWolves

Yeah easy :)

They wouldn't be extending it to a possible 50,000 if it wouldn't sell out, wouldn't be a very good business decision would it? :P

Well, I dunno whether it would be worth upgrading your stadium to 36, honestly. Maybe 40 would be a decent size, plenty of room for improvement. So no double development, just 1 upgrade.

I don't support wolves but more people will be buying tickets to see the game anyways. I support Villa so i don't know much about wolves.

They have plans and are getting planning permission for 50,000, but they don't want to go to that size yet. :P

36,000 is plenty for us for the next 5 years (after its complete)

Yeah that's what I thought. Also, if you develop fully to 50,000, you could bring have the best stadia in the area, meaning you get to host WC games. I don't think Sunderland will host one because Newcastle have the better stadium and is close to us.

Were not in for the world cup, were only part of it as a training facility :P
