So I have a History A Level exam in round about a weeks time, I'm completely fine with exams, writing Essays and the like. What I really need is to learn the information. I've got around 20 pages of dates, facts and figures to learn by then, currently I'm just reading through them over and over again but this seems to be ineffective. Does anyone have a better way how I can learn them?

Learn a small amount then write it down. Then learn a different small amount, write it down, then see if you can remember the last lot. The brain works better doing things in small amounts apparently.

Never tried it, but I'm told writing the dates on sticky notes and putting them all over your house helps. Every time you pass just read it to yourself. Then in the exam, you just think back to where the note was and remember what was on it.
