i dont get how i got 1 point with the Germany vs. Australia game, I posted a 3-0 prediction, i thought i might've at least got 2 points.

No. You got the right result, a win for Germany, but you didn't get the right Goal Difference and you didn't get the exact result.

If you said: 5-1 for Germany, you would have got 2 points. If you said 4-0 you would have got 3.

You predicted 3-0? You get 1 point for predicting the correct winner but without the correct scoreline or goal difference. If you had predicted 5-1, that would be a goal difference of 4 which would have been correct (as it was 4-0) but still not the exact scoreline so you would have got 2 points :)

I'm not sure whether 2 points is just for the correct goal difference or whether you also have to have the correct winner or not...

Grr I've got 1-1 on NZ v Slovakia and I was gonna have another 1-1 on Ivory Coast v Portugal but predicting them as draws is a waste really because you have less chance of getting 1 point - as you will only get it if it turns out to be a draw but say for example NZ win, you would get it for any prediction as long as their goals are higher than Slovakia's.

Am I making sense here or is it just all in my head? :P

Yes, but if it is a Draw you automatically get 2 points instead of 1 as the GD is always the same so it's about even.

I suppose, but the likelihood of getting the 1 point on a non-draw feels so much higher than getting 2 on a draw.

Anyway I've just changed my Brazil v NK prediction from 3-0 to 6-0 lmao :P Might even get a bet on that later

I would have had 2 but didn't when they scored. They actually update the table during the game so if someone scores the table changes.

There must be a manual way of changing the scores so lets hope it either hasn't updated yet, or someone changes it.

Third place is always tough to call. You never know what effect it has. Some teams just think **** it, it's **** e.g Germany whereas Uruguay might want to make the most of it and say that they've finished third.
