Hello! The summer holidays are vastly approaching, or have already reached some of you and HabboxForum is preparing to accommodate you with lots of stuff to do over the next 6 weeks :)

A few updates this week, all of which have come out of feedback threads - which we are incredibly pleased with, member feedback is always much appreciated.

So, yes Oli stop talking and tell people what there is this week:

Changes to the 'Pointless Posting' rule
New 'Community' Category
New Avatar Size Limit
Changes in requesting the Twitter Award

Following several comments in feedback I have made several changes to the pointless posting rule, which now reads:

~ Do not post short, one or two word responses without reasoning or explanation, for instance "I agree", try giving a short explanation or reason for your answer! This means that threads which only allow for a short, one or two word answer will be closed or moved to spam.

This rule shall be in force as of now, however posts which would be considered as breaking this rule on or before this date 18/07/2010 will not be dealt with, threads however will be closed or moved to spam still.

There will be some exceptions to this rule with the permission of Forum Management, such as "What are you listening to?" "What are you eating?" and "What are you drinking?" ~ should you wish to make a thread like this you must PM the Forum Manager (Oli) to gain permission.

A new 'Community' section has been added to the forum to separate the competitions and events sections from the main Habbox announcements, hopefully to make them stand out more.

We now have:

Habbox Announcements:
~ Forum Rules, Terms & Conditions
~ Habbox Announcements
~ Development Announcements

Community:
~ Community Notice Board
~ Competitions
~ Become a Habbox Donator

Thanks to Saurav for this suggestion, he earns himself 30 rep points!

To improve the ease of verifying users who request the twitter award, you must now supply your twitter username when requesting the award.

We have decided to increase the avatar filesize limit from 30kb to 100kb, this should enable you to have higher quality avatars (including animated gifs).

Thanks to sex for this suggestion, he gets the Forum Updates award and 30 reputation points
