QFT. He lives in Shaldon, which is the town about a 5 minute walk away from me. Sometimes see him in the local Tesco or Post Office LOL its well funny, but yeah when I read this first I thought his reasons would be closer to home. His girlfriend/wife(?) wants that i think, mum met her whilst shopping and she was sayin about how its such a hassle xD

yeah, I would have suspected this was the reason, as he has enough money and couldn't be arsed with the commute :L

i saw it coming very soon actually.
he's 40 (tomorrow, actuallly. 8-) )
so a top club aren't even gunna want him much longer, so they're selling him before his value drops too much.

and after portsmouth played plymouth in the fa cup quater final a couple of years a go, he'd released a statement saying that he'd love to finish his career at plymouth argyle. so, i can see why he went to our rivals 8-) :\
but yeah, it was something i've been expecting for quite a while.

Van Der Sar is 40 in October, both keepers are about as good as eachother...

You're kidding right?

VDS is a lot better then James. Well... he's better and a lot more consistant.

James isn't on the same level as VDS. I thought as a United fan you'd be telling me that not the otherway around :P

I rate James, he's a solid decent keeper, but VDS is top class. James is way to inconsistant to.

Hmm, Will he still get in the England team though?

Good move for him, he wanted two years and he got it.
