I don't know about you but in the summer I don't really like to have the same meals as I would in the winter. For example, I wouldn't like to have a hot, filling soup in the hot weather. What you have to do is think of a meal you would have in the summer. It doesn't have to be a meal that already exists, you can invent your own summer meal. Be creative. Post your entries in this thread.

If Sunny, a barbecue, with freshly made salad, with chicken, burgers and sizzly sausages, to end, nice freshly baked rolls.

Hot food in summer is a complete no-no. What about a banana split?
Classic banana split is made with scoops of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream served in a row between the split banana.
Pineapple topping spooned over the strawberry ice cream, chocolate syrup over the vanilla, and strawberry topping over the chocolate
. Garnished with crushed nuts, whipped cream, and maraschino cherries. MMMMM :)

In the summer, if really sunny and hot, a hot barbecue would be amazing :) the smell of a hot juicy steak would be irresistible :) just kicking back, enjoying the hot sun, and letting your steak cook, just the way you like it :) sounds prefect :) also having a freshly home made salad too :):) and lets not forget about the nice cold irresistible lemonade :):) to top it all off, a nice sundae with double fudge, whip cream and a cherry on top would, truly make your mouth water :):):)

Britains summers aren't summery.
So on the hot days, BBQ's ice lollies and icecream!!
When it's cold, Mince over mash, with apple pie?

My perfect summer meal would be:

BBQ Chicken with a baked potatoe and corn on the cob.
Then for desert watermelon, ice cream, freeze pop, or funnel cake. :)

I Would have a nice BBQ in the summer sitting on a deck chair slipping off your sandles and sitting back and relaxing. In the winter i would cuddle up on the sofa and have a pizza or something warm .. Sometimes nothing at all. But i normally eat something warm ha.;)

Am i the only one who's going tosay anything sensible? I'd clearly have a chicken vindaloo to match the hot summer weather,, with a side order of mash potatoe and a tub of ice cream for desert.

Simple.

Summer is the time of the year for those delicious light dishes. Some mashed tomato with garlic, a table spoon of olive oil, some basil and a hint of seasoning spread evenly on a lightly toasted bread. Add salt and pepper to the finishing product :D.

Red Team (Still awaiting acceptance in group)

Those are all lame! Let's have a feast
Macaroni Salad with pickle in it!
Kabobs, Chicken, and some Pork!
We could also take some potato's , chop em up , deep fry them, and season them! yumm.
To go with that amazing meal, Desert? well.. Maybe we can have some
Strawberry and Rhubarb pie with a few scoops of vanilla ice-cream on top..
Don't like pie? Go have some cookies and milk then :)
