Claude Choules was the last known surviving combat veteran of the Great War, and served in both the world wars of the 20th Century. A few days ago he passed away in Australia at the age of 110. Mr Choules, who had been married to his wife Ethel for 76 years, was reported to have died in his sleep at a nursing home in his adopted city of Perth. After hearing this news it made me think about this competition. If you had the chance to ask Claude Choules a question what would it be? Your question could be including the war or can be something completely different, however try and keep them appropriate. The most interesting and creative question will win so get posting your entries in this thread and good luck!

Were the Nazis really disgusting racist thugs, or just normal people who had been taken in by intelligent and well-made propaganda, or do you believe something else compelled them to massacre several million people?
