For those who don't already play I thought i'd flag up this offer. (Normal cost is approximately £10-£15 a month depending on where you buy your gametime) Also once you're well established ingame you can pay for gametime by buying it from other players using the ingame currency.
14 day and 21 day trials (need to be invited) are also available.

Also for those who do play but want the cheap gametime i'm sure you can figure out the obvious workaround, otherwise this offer is only for new accounts or upgrading from a trial account. You can buy it now and then choose not to activate it immediately if you want to do a trial first, but I doubt the offer will be available for long.

Come straight to me for the 21 day trials...
hurrr hurr.

Becoming self sufficient in terms of game time takes around 3-6 months for those interested (It's possible because massive alliances need lots of money for their massive ships, like Titans.)
--
Also if anyone from Habbox joins as Caldari I'll make sure to try and help you out financially and ship wise once you've done the starter missions (Other factions, you'll have to slog it over to Caldari Space if you really want).

Agreed. I recommend people choose caldari since that is the region we're mostly based. Also me, chippie and another friend have been drawing up potential plans for a corp based around hxf users (but still separate).

There's a very detailed ingame tutorial on just about everything and also a very detailed wiki site just for the game. It requires patience to learn more than other games such as WoW, but that just means the players are all dedicated and passionate about the game so are more likely to play it propperly.

I'm so confused, I had some space ship things which looks okay, but compared to everything else its tiny. I attempted to attack some sort of factory only to be blown to oblivion by some super lasers. Currently drifting around in a little green pod, I'm guessing its an escape pod. WTF Do I do!???

I've started out in caldari like you suggested, but I really have no idea what I'm doing skipping the tutorial wasn't the best thing to do. How do I get a new ship?

If you go back to the first station you went to then there should be some agents for stuff like, Industry, Combat, Advanced Combat and Exploration/Probing.
Also add me in game so I can help you: HxChippiewill. Just click on 'People and Places' in the side bar, then on the thing that pops up there'll be a search option, choose search type character and put my character name into the search string.

That was a default mission, you were actually given a ship before running that mission if I recall correctly. You'll actually get a replacement ship for free if you arrive at a station in a Pod.

dock at a station and on the right will be a list of players or agents, if players click the agents tab. right click the agent and you'll be given a mission. easy missions to begin with and you are rewarded handsomly.
Or you could create another character and play through the tutorial on that one.

well the brilliant thing is you can do anything! anything at all. which is why you need imagination and plans to play :D
you could mine to start making some simple isk. you could find a corp. you could put together a cheap battleship and go pirate some people for ransom money. the possibilities are endless :D
I've started up a planetside operation to collect resources and sell. Also getting to grips with running the corp :D (and in the next couple of days i'll be able to get several billion isk with the sale of an pld character).

I'm not too sure about it though. I might give it another go tonight but it just seems weird to me

Well, if you can put up with it then it's an easy relatively risk free way of making money. I tend to watch a movie at the same time...
But there are far more interesting things to do, but basically consisting of buying the pimpiest ship and then fighting stuff with it.
