Hi,

So insure the box screwed up and cancelled my insurance so now my subaru has no insurance, nor can i afford £15,000, Although im wanting to keep the car because when i turn 21 (2-3 months) it drops to a price i can afford.
So im going to blackpool in August and im wanting to drive down, I was looking to get temp insurance (hoping it was say £200) for 2 days, but havent found any.

Im tempted to buy a daily drive car though, my next door neighbor is selling a Ka for £200 with mot and tax, which i guess is really cheap. But im not really wanting something that slow and dull :(
What to do?

If it's just for a daily drive car do you really want something that's gonna have like top-spec performance? The KA is really cheap and you'd have the subaru for special occasions/when you get bored, whereas the KA is literally for transport.

But can you imagine going from his Subaru to a KA? He'd be crying himself along the road!

I drove a Micra for a month and it was horrible, I used to put off going places so I wouldn't have to get in it.

I got a week cover on a 'decent' car, classic though, for about £30odd from www.tempcover.com
I was over 21 at the time though and I'm not sure what their rates are like for non classic cars.

KA might not be a bad option and you could probably resell/scrap the car for a profit at that price!

How come the insurance got cancelled? Sounds like a problem on the company's end not yours, in which case they ought to be sorting it out rather than overcharging you... and I'm assuming you meant £1500 not £15000 lol

omg that would be terrible but since it's not happening to me it's absolutely hilarious, I'll spare a thought for you when I see a mere £53 go out of my account each month :P

Better off getting some rollerskates, that's ridiculous. Even for the very first year mine was only (lol "only") £1400

No wonder the rate of people getting caught with no insurance is going up so much :S

see i find they are cheaper, they allow me to search who will insure mods etc and what mods. quickly without having to listen to them telling me about voiding my insurance every time :P

idk most of the decent ones don't seem to be on them, like my 2nd year comparison sites quoted me £1600 as the cheapest I could get when Churchill and Directline were both quoting me just under £800. Serves you right for having silly mods lol
